True baby it is all good, But in the western world people associate a covered face with a 1800s western movie were the stage coach robbers place a bandanna over themselves so they will not be recognized. Correct! a lot of women are slaves to the sex trade....are there Muslim women who are prostitutes? Or is all Muslim women pure and free of ST D's? There is a lot of violence towards women in the Western Culture, but it is not North American Custom to kill our daughters for disgracing our families if they have sex before they are married...to whom they have the choice of picking a partner Not the Parents.
Hooded girls are the ones really helping the cause? what cause is that?
The Day of judgement they will be the fools...for what? doing as you are and living the life they choose? Seems to me like you are already set in your way and have passed judgement on our culture and are just as guilty as your accusation claims,
Furthermore....Yes You do live in a democratic society, and it must have seen quite attractive enough for your culture to move here and to want to be mixed with it. Ask yourself how your culture would treat a hand full of Christians, who moved in the Muslim community, who claimed that the Muslims were trying to take away the North American rights that they were born to.
What do you think would happen to a christian woman from the states , if she posted a poem about how good christian women were in an all Muslim community?

I'm not trying to deprive you of that right, I could care less. Gotta admit though, I'm way glad I don't live in an islamic society where women who don't wear the hijab are beaten or sometimes killed, not to mention the stuff that goes with it, like the not being able to simply go to the store when you need something, at least without a male relative as an escort. I can't imagine what my life would be like if I had to be escorted everywhere. I seriously doubt you have that problem, being that you say you live in a democratic society.
The thing with islam is that they demand all kinds of right for themselves, but don't want to give anyone else any rights whatsoever, and obviously don't really get the whole concept of democracy, unless it benefits them. So you go right ahead and tell us all how "free" you are. Free to stay at home or find some male relative to escort you out of the house in full hijab, so you can roast while trying to see where you're going thru that little eye hole. It is your right, at least in democracy, its your right. Just remember, we have rights too, the right to not have to roast in a hijab while running to the store unescorted to get a gallon of milk.

I can't agree with you on this. Yes, I think it is your right to wear what you want, but I think you need to understand what we see when you do. In predominately Muslim countries, women have almost none of the rights and freedoms that you do here. Many of those women are abused and cheated on (men are permitted up to four wives; having to share your husband is close enough to cheating for me). I have never been to a Muslim country, but I have read about them in newspapers and magazines and have watched the horror stories on the news. Even if it is exaggerated somewhat by sensationalist media, the suffering, abuse and repression many of these women go through is appalling. The hood you are so proud of is a symbol of their suffering, and that is what we think of every time we see you.
Nicky M: if you read the history of Islam, Muhammad made many his first converts through conquest and it states in the Koran that Islam is to be spread by the sword. There is also more than one type of violence; the emotional violence that women in Muslim countries are subjected to is every bit as bad as domestic abuse is here.

Do what you wish and have an explanation just as you put it in your rap;however,do not impose or force these values on me or us.Also, how much difference is there between the habit of Mother Teresa's or Mother Angelica's sisters and hijab? In a democracy we must tolerate some behaviors even when we do not agree with them.Almost all of the world's religions prescribe modesty.Speaking of rights,do you extend these rights to others. Can I wear shorts, use wine in my liturgy or freely build a non-Muslim house of worship in a Muslim country?

That sounds really good but now you want the facts on how it really is. Number 1 how do you mean not a man's toy when he has multiple wives to play with? Number 2. All women do not wear mini skirts and become lost to STDS I wear a long skirt and have been married to a loving husband for 45 years. We are best friends, I am not his maid, sex toy or treated disrespectfully. In muslim countries AIDS is rapant, so someone is creating on his wife. We believe in God one that does not require us to kill infidels. We view others as friends and brothers. My husband exercises self control which is a fruit of the spirit and remains faithful to me and doesn't feel that if he sees a womens hair this gives him the right to rape her. He cannot show God he feels the commandments are important and that he can resist temtation if he never has any temtation. So to keep men from sinning we have to burry women in a bundle of clothes? Men in America have more self control than that. Women in Islamic countries are raped ten times more than they are in USA and other christian nations. In darfur muslims have kidnapped 25,000 children to use as sex slaves. Rape is common in Islamic countries and unpunished. Here they go to jail. I know this will be deleted because we are not allowed to tell the truth only that muslims are misunderstood. Did you really believe your rapper song would endear you to anyone?

Not all Muslim women are free to choose. A 13 yr. old Saudi girl is raped by her brothers' friends. She is the one who is condemned to death by stoning. Where was her freedom? What about the girls who aren't allowed to go to school and are made to stay at home to learn "the wifely arts". Where is their freedom? What about the women who aren't allowed to travel or to shop without a male escort or letter of permission from the male head of household? Where is their freedom? I do realize that not every Muslim woman is subject to these atrocities but I don't think you can say that you are free until all Muslim women are free.

Non-Muslims want to limit Muslim women's rights to their traditional religious and cultural garb because it's foreign and alien to them, because it's a symbol of a different religion that they deem to be "evil." My best friend is Muslim, and I find it completely strange to see her WITHOUT her hijab on!
On a similar note, it's the same, frequently, with pagans. There are schools where symbols like the pentacle and the triple moon are banned as being "cult," yet Christians are free to wear crosses and crucifixes. Strange, isn't it?
YDoncha_Blowme: Head out of your bum, please. Real Muslims *don't* go about blowing people up. Like Christianity supposedly is, Islam is a peaceful religion. Live and let live, leave others alone if they don't want to be bothered.

Well, for starters, you want to deprive me of my right to LIFE because I dont beleive what you beleive... Thats a pretty compelling arguement for depriving you of your rights to practice a barbaristic religion.
Go ahead, tell me Im wrong - telll me that Islam doesnt teach that soon, everyone will bow to Islam, be forced into it, or be killed. Tell me it doesnt preach that...
