I don't hate homosexuals....I have quite a few homosexual friends actually....But I will give you what I think..
I think people are so hateful because they cannot understand or allow anything that is different from themselves. They're scared of what they can't understand.
Also, some people just only have a problem with it if they see it in PUBLIC.....well...to be honest with you I hate PDA whether it is a gay couple or a straight couple.
And really, I think that the hate is mostly directed toward GAY MEN....not lesbians.....and that even I can't understand. For some people I guess it must appear more acceptable for two women to be in bed than two men. ( But this comes down to an entirely NEW issue)

I am not hateful or intolerant of homosexuals but to answer your question without any quotations from the bible the reason why people are hateful or intolerant of homosexuals is the fact that they believe that homosexuality is learned. They do not buy into "I was born like this" because simply everyone chooses who they sleep with. It's not something that you are born with. People make their decisions solely on what they have learned and they fear that all this public homosexuality talk is something that may influence their children or loved ones to become what they hate.

And to all those who are about to jump down my throat save it.....I am just providing an explanation without bible scriptures as a reason to why people act the way they do.

Anyways I am heterosexual and do not have anything against gays.I do not go out making fun of them or anything.Hell they are people like everyone else if they wish to be a different way then that is their right. As far as people being homophobic that goes with just how they were raised and ignorance.People like that you should not let bother you or anyone else let them just be ignorant and people around them think the same way that you do about them they are ignorant pieces of trash.

If people took the time to read the bible, you'd see that Jesus himself says nothing against homosexuality. He speaks of love as does God. Read the book of Ruth. The story is about the love two women share. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son...not the straight world-THE WORLD EVERYONE IN IT. Please read the bible- a study bible is preferred. I love you for saying what you did, my sister.

I'll be happy to see the answers here..because I believe hate is such a negative emotion directed inward at oneself...I don't allow it into my mind...Hate serves no purpose, it solves nothing and does absolutely no good..it only harms the hater....btw I am gay.

you cannot take homosexuality off the bible - and the thing is that God loves gays/lesbians but their actions will take them apart from God and eternity - they deserve to be happy of course no doubt about it but not that way - A relationship , money everything in the world cannot give you happiness , the only one who can give peace and happiness is Jesus Christ

you should be able to be as happy as you can.
gay or not.

but gay is what you do not what you are.
You free to make that choice.
I'll agree to gay marriage, after that nice hate crimes law is tossed where it belongs(in the trash).

your life is not more precious than anyone else's.
