So like joeseph smith translated the book of mormon, reading the golden plates through a hat, and someone wrote what he said. then the writer tells his wife, and she's all, "How do you know he's not lying? he could have easily made it up!" So she took the book, and tolf the writer to go tell joe to write it again, To see if he was telling the truth.
What do you know? Joe made an exuse and made another version.

And Yes, I got this story off of South Park

But then I read it online, and its true.

Joe Made it all up!

What do you think?

I've been married 12 years, and every single year we invite everyone in our family (mine and his...cousins, aunts, uncles, etc.) over for a get together. Every year my mil refuses to come. She's even turned down invites to her ONLY grandchildrens' birthdays, because other people will be there. We keep inviting, but she still refuses. She says she just doesn't feel comfortable in large groups of people she doesn't know. But how will she ever get to know them, if she doesn't show? She has only seen my parents once in 12 years and that was at our wedding. Any suggestions on a way to convince her to come anyway? She's quite stubborn. But it's very important to us that she attend this year, as we've been out of the area for a few years, and the traditional gathering has been put on me, now that my grandmother is dead.

If Christians and Pagans and Muslims and Athiests and every other group out there has no chance of convincing the other and being proved 'right', why is it that there is still all of this stupid, juvenile fighting and namecalling and such. As adults, didn't we leave the schoolyard bullying behind? Might it be that in fighting we reinforce otherwise weak faith? "I'm a warrior for my faith" brings out some militant reinforcement where they might otherwise be weak? I'm at a loss, what do others think?

What can I actually *do* to make a difference in the world? I already volunteer at the local humane society and at my parish, I'm founding a gay-straight alliance at my high school, I try to be polite, not pollute, or take up too many resources, and I would vote if I were old enough to do so. But I know that I am not doing enough to improve the world. What can I do?

Many people throughout the world have no healthcare, food, water, shelter, or hope. Politics are corrupt. People are often so wrapped up in their own lives that they never stop to think about the well-being of others, if they think at all. Money is god if sex is not. War kills and maims people throughout the world, and we're killing our own planet.

I do not mean to be depressing, I mean to ask what can I do to honestly make a real difference in this world. I realise that I'm disillusioned but at least I'm thinking. It just seems that either everyone is too big to care or too little to do anything.

How can I help?

ME- I don't know why everyone can't accept others for their choices, There is an enormous difference between murderers and homosexuals, many people make allusions to that so don't.

God created us. And there are somethings in life we can't choose to be. Like being a gay, lesbian or bisexual, we can't choose that. So, is it God who made us that way?

I love Indian food, Indian philosophy, practice Hinduism, enjoy Indian art, music and culture but cannot find an Indian woman who will date me. And I happen to think they are stunning. I am an attractive artist and this makes no sense to me.

Is the Old Testament still the word of God...is it still part of Christianity...if it isn't why is it in the Bible? Why include it if you don't believe in it?.....Did God make mistakes in the Old Testament? If Jesus was sent to rectify things and make new laws, why is the Old Testament still included in the Bible. Is not the Bible the word of God? how can you say this is the word of God and this isn't. (and i'm not trying to be rude)

Would it have been better,or,would it have been worse?Would it be better,or would it be worse if there was a major change about this?Personally,I believe that it would be better, but,I just want to know what others have to say about this.I could name several reasons why I believe it would be better, but, there's only so much time & space.
