You have an excellent point. I've wondered that myself. God is love, and I believe in Him whole-heartedly. That's why I hated one of my old churches. They actually told us to do a project on other religions, telling why they all were wrong, and that religion was right. So many people got it wrong because, rather than going to the source and actually trying to find the truth, they believed the rumors which were spread. For example, they said that Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Armageddon is when an asteroid or meteor or whatever is going to blow up the earth and kill all humanity...not true. They also said that Mormons believe we're all gods and will live on Kolob, drinking spirit Dr. Pepper...obviously not true. They said so many other untrue things about other religions. I can't remember them all, though. It was ridiculous. It was actually their whole focus for about a month. It's sad, really. We're supposed to be showing God to the world through love, yet some can only show hatred and judgment...how does that make sense. I just hope everyone who does so (a majority don't, but those few who do ruin the Christian name for the rest of us) realizes it and learns acceptance and the unconditional love that God has for us.

The bible says that the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. However, the bible we have today is accurate so read it. God blew into Adams body and he became a living soul. BECAME A SOUL.not given a soul. BECAME A SOUL. Ezk.18: 4 says the soul that sins will die. Romans 6: 23 says life is a gift from God. Rom.6: 7 says when you die you are aquitted of your sins, WHY? because you have paid the penalty for sin, which is DEATH. The sinner being put to death alongside Jesus was promised to be brought back to life,IN A PARADISE So, there are a lot of lies to be accounted for. This only the tip of the iceburg. All religions will have to answer soon. .

God loves us enough, that he gave us his words and his son. In the Bible, God warns us about these happenings. Even about how there will be false profits. People in the church will even be decieved. That is what happens when you mix the truth up with lies. It divides people. The bible says to test the spirits to see if they are of God. You can only see the truth if you know it. It is amazing what is revealed to you when you pray and study the Bible.

Hmmm, I've never experienced that in my church - but I have experienced it with other churchs who visit my door and try to convert me.
This is actually one of the reasons why I was so drawn to my church - they didn't spend half of a Sunday telling me I was going to hell because I didn't belong to their church.
I find, also, after joing the church, that this has continued - we are taught to respect everyones decision to chose what works for the - no one is right or wrong because religion is a personal decision that no one else can make for you!

I didn't know that happened. I know sometime a church will point out how a different church believes , but I haven't experienced what you are talking about. I have been in church all but about a year of my life.

Most churches don't talk about other churches. Most churches talk about Jesus and what the Bible has to say about how we should live our lives in response to his sacrifice on our behalf.

I don't know where you are getting your information but it's probably like someone from another country reading papers from the U.S. thinking that people in this country all go around murdering each other because every day those types of things make the headlines.

because, people...human beings run them. The human race is so full of intellect and wisdom and can be filled with compassion. but...it is also filled with hate, envy, greed..etc.
unfortunately every human whether they admit it or not wants to feel like they are better or more redeemed/worthy than everybody else. If they stopped trying to spread their word and dominate each other and we all got along *GASP* what the hell would we do?

if no one told you then let me be the first ,a church is a dangerous place to be,you have to be very careful of who you listen too and what their saying and how are they living,if it does not fall in line with Christ teachings then run because their on a fast track straight to hell
