We never gave God human attributes, but he gave unto us godly attributes. If He is our father, and we were created in His image. Then isn't it logical that we can eventually grow to become like him?

Actually, not all people do and when they do it is not always for the same reason. It seems to be a form of homo-centric idolatry, but in fact at times it is just the opposite. For example, for about 3000 years Hindus have been creating clay avatars of Vishnu just to through then into throw them into the river to watch them melt. It serves as a reminder that God exist in all things and is kept by none.
Giving God physical characteristics is strictly forbidden in Islam and Judaism and frowned upon in much of Christianity.
For a Buddhist or Taoist think of God in human turns is patently absurd.

Because god can be anything, he can attire himself as human or animal or anything if he wants. Its not impossible for him. And moreover the human attribute is useful to us, it makes us feel closer to him, than worshipping as different soul, it increases concentration.

Only because it is the only way our minds can comprehend Him...it does not mean that we are truley "like Him"...it is as close as our human language could come to describe Him...
