Most of us operate from fear: fear of loss, fear of betrayal, fear that we won't be able to make a living. I would like to be able at least to imagine a world where we operated from a place of caring rather than fearing. If we cannot imagine it, we cannot create it.

I bought an ice cream cone from McD's this summer, it was 98 degrees outside. I drove my car out of the parking lot, drove up to the red light at the intersection and licked the cone. I looked at the car on the left side of me and the couple was staring at me. The woman in the SUV on the right side of me honked her horn and gave me a trucker-style thumbs up. Is there some kind of sexual connotation to licking an ice cream cone on a hot day?

they want to raise their kids christian, or wanted to become christian because that way they would have good morals? Is it unconcievable for someone to have morals if they aren't christian, or do christians just naturally have better morals? Discuss please. I am not trying to offend anyone, it is just a question. personally i dont think religion has much to do with someones morals.

Like for these examples.

Sex, but then have to go to work to support family then marry?

Financial problems needed to solve before you can afford a marriage?

and etc.

They both stay faithful before marriage.

Is there any technology available, that will prevent having Passengers in the car driven by teen drivers? Many other countries are enforcing "no passengers" under the age of 18, because statistic shows that teen drivers tend to drive safer when driving alone. Thank you

i think most people cling to a certain religion because it gives them hope. People want something to believe in and religion gives that to them, such as they will have wings and fly like an angel. live forever in God's presence. I am not saying either of those are bad. But everyone had a beautiful life on earth, we probably won't need god. so the question really should be, is religion there to keep us blinded.

If you don't then obviously I'm not talking to you. Hear me out before you start calling me a racist. Last Tuesday my school took the practice SAT's and afterwards this girl was complaining about the information part and how it said: White, African American, Asian American, Hispanic, and Native American. She thought that the part that said "White" was racist. And some white people are always complaining about Affirmative Action and politcal correctness, that stuff is designed for equality not racism. Can someone please explain to me (calmly) how you can call things like that out as racism?

I have seen the same people write many many times, after they read something they dont agree with, "i will pray for you" I know that when you pray at night you are not including all the people on yahoo answers. How dare you lie to them and god? To say you will pray for someone does not make you closer to god. Its is a promise that you are making in gods name and breaking. To everyone who was lied to!

I admit that when I found out, I booted his butt. Then I cried and wailed for three years and God was merciful. I was devastated because I thought the tough love would shape him up. He filed for divorce at the behest of his lover. Both of them really put me and my kids through hell. He has filed for divorce but hasn' gone through with it. They are kaput and he makes overtures to be back together andthen says things like I ruined his life. It would take a miracle for us to be a couple together. I think it's time for me to do the filing for divorce and may be that's that. I have to move on, and if he is saved and born again(I pray for him) God will put us back together. But, I am thinking may be the man needs to have a definate line in the sand and a serious boundary of divorce is what he needs. Also, does God really want me to be with someone who thinks that if he comes back to me, he would be settling? What about the example to my kids?

if the 'good ' people killed off all the 'bad' people would that mean the good accept every one left as being good ,or just that for now all sinners are removed or would new evils soon be found that 'needed to be 'removed ,over come
can a judgmental; person ever accept any one as good ,or just need to feel there are worse than them ,that allways will make him feel better for exposing the evil ,and even want the credit for destroying the last vestage of that for now deemed evil
is anyone ever real;ly with out sin ,so pure that the smallest sin needs to be stopped
are the good really good or just better than the bad
is it possable that the really good are really pretending goodness to further expose evil
or just bad being good by definition
if the good of this world succeed in killing off all those ajudged to be evil will that be the end of the killing or just a pause to find yet more?
we will never know i guess till we killed the evil b off i guess
now who first?where to begin

It's my cousin and we are very close and we go all out on Christmas. We're like sisters, but not gushy about it. She is 27 and seems to have everything~~ I never know what to get her

Note, do not say "get to know Jesus." The question could easily be "How can we come to know Jesus more"...if Jesus is your God. But my question is , what way of life, what things can we do in our life, to bring us closer to GOD?

This is a question that's been bugging me.

Christians keep bashing atheists because "it's so unlikely that there could have just been this big explosion and all the pieces of our universe just by chance fit neatly together." Well, first off, *no* they didn't just fit neatly together, it took billions of years to get them that way, and billions more for everything to evolve to what it is now. And even though we can never experience the beginning, we can do experiments to simulate what happened and by that add more credence to our ideas.

How is it any more logical to believe that out there somewhere is some huge, wonderful source of power and knowledge? Seriously, HOW is this logical? I just *honestly* do *not* get it at all. At least we know that what we're proposing *could* have happened. You don't even know if the idea of "god" is possible, theoretically speaking (try proving it to someone who doesn't believe it). How can god be sentient if he is essentially nothing?

God forbid you'll be giving one of my fellow Atheists some money he may use in his vile Foundation that helps children across the world. How many of you have fallen into sin by using this evil man's products or paying for it? Will you continue to use them after tonite? How do you solve this dilemma? Maybe using it and then praying for forgiveness might work, YES! that's the solution.

Hey christians, have you ever noticed that you take every you hear from your church as fact. Non christians have the decency to reaseach and study what they are trying to learn and still have the courtesy to call their thoughts theory. Those sound like the reasonable people, the ones you can trust. Can you see how a non-christian raised person could have a hard time finding god? Or are you just so blinding by religon that you will answer this question like a robot with a bible verse or with a common "ill pray for you". In a world where being illogical will leave you homeless on the streets how we trust something that sounds so illogical. How can we trust people who base their entire lives on a "because the bible said so" outlook. It seems closed minded with a cult like attitude.
