If Christians and Pagans and Muslims and Athiests and every other group out there has no chance of convincing the other and being proved 'right', why is it that there is still all of this stupid, juvenile fighting and namecalling and such. As adults, didn't we leave the schoolyard bullying behind? Might it be that in fighting we reinforce otherwise weak faith? "I'm a warrior for my faith" brings out some militant reinforcement where they might otherwise be weak? I'm at a loss, what do others think?

Unfortunately, "faith" gives people the excuse to be ugly and intolerant in this world because of the certainty they have of the reward in the next. What most people are too blind to realize is that religions were developed to try and keep people from being so ugly and intolerant in this life. The problems occured when these cultures clashed, and I don't know that we'll ever recover, as these religious wars have been going on for over 1000 years.

Many are not willing to see that there are options... most people want to be right. With some religions telling their followers that they are the one true religion and the only ones that could possibly be right we cant expect them to want to believe that they could be wrong and the some goes to religions a paths that leave you with choices... they cannot see that some people want a guide and do not wish to have a choice. It is quite pointless to argue with one another however it is as you said.... weak faith if you feel the need to justify it with an argument:)

Yes, we are really stupid to engage in fighting!
The UN, the NGO's, various religious and social associations have made efforts in establishing peace, but fightings are still occuring. We have to find out more fora for all parties to exchange views to peacefully solve matters of outdated enemity, misunderstanding, prejudice...
Moreover, we also need much learning to realize the constructive results of love and peace for all the human race, and try our best to voluntarily concede some of our benefits for the benefits of all mankind. The results will be proportionated to our greater and greater exertions.
Dear brothers and sisters, please think peace, talk peace and make peace.

unfortunately, people are going to rip apart anyone that is different. I've asked similar questions myself. At first I use to get so upset when someone would attack my believe but through much prayer I look at an opposer in a different light, I look at them as someone who is searching that's why they are in religion & spirituality section. Remember that our fight is not against flesh and blood but against the evil of this world. Onward Christian soldier !!

Most people stop maturing at about age 12 to 14. That's why it's like it used to be in junior high school.

To many sites and educational places to list. I decided to find out why, just like you are asking. Christians, Pagans and Atheists do not kill each other for their beliefs, not in the USA.

I agree with you. Why does everyone have to be right all the time?
