Prove means anything that would satisfy your definition of proof.

The question does not relate to proof, it assumes the proof is adequate enough to be convincing.

I'm an atheist and the moment God proves himself to exist, I'll become a God believer.

The burden of proof is on him, not me. And, the ball is in his court, not mine. I'm willing, but it appears he is not.

Do you listen politely to what they have to say or do you just slam the door on the face? Have you ever read any of their literature? If so, what do you think of their beliefs? If you are a Jehovah's Witness, what would you say to a nonbeliever?

A lady just threw HW on me and called me the devil. What should do? Should I rip out her heart with my bare hands? Should I steal her soul? What's the best plan of action for the disrespect she shown me? Should I put a black widow spider in her coat pocket?

procreating to the point where human life has lost its value is the type of world which we live in now. how many more millions can this tiny fragile planet of ours sustain? millions of poor who are born to poverty and die in poverty.
even if there was a god would he approve the way we humans have populated his earth in such an insane manner?

look at the similarities. from birth we are a sponge and what we absorb gets processed and builds upon our character

would a 'program' or virus inserted somewhere that is self replicating and spreads like a flu germ to those around by expulsing it out forcefully as a cough does, would that be similar?

can mental viruses and spyware (meant to keep itself alive and corrupt your thinking and processes) be removed or is it a permanent corrupted sector in our brains?

this is food for thought, and is there a "patch" for people with programming that is infected with viruses or 'doctrines' that are self destructive and deluding?

You can't see air or a brain does that mean they don't exist
...I mean, 'WTf'.
This is just the response I wanna tear apart right now because it seems commonly used and one of the most annoying, but I could do the same to pretty much all of them:

This is a prime example of basic reasoning and a simple-mind. In that statement, it is suggesting that Atheists say they don't believe in god because they can't see them. Never on yahoo answers have I seen an atheist respond to the question 'Why don't you believe in god.' with 'because I have never seen him.' I believe the correct answer is 'because I have no proof.' Although, as I believe the christians are referring to the naked eye just to show their short horizon of thought, we CAN see air and a brain with certain equipment...but more importantly, even without seeing them we can prove they are there, much unlike god, which makes this a broken analogy. What's even worse is when they put something like 'when are atheists gonna...

I definitely DO NOT believe this, following is why I don't believe this nonsense : In reality, the Bible claims (and experience confirms) that everyone has a weakness (Romans 3:23; 5:6-8). We also need to define "weakness". What is true weakness? On the one hand we have the self proclaimed sufficient person who argues that they don't need anyone and their goal in life is to avoid things they don't want to do (Luke 12:16-21; 16:19; 2 Timothy 3:1-4). On the other hand we have the Christian, one who has acknowledged that mere human wisdom fails to have the right answers for how to live (Jeremiah 10:23). They have admitted that they have sinned, and that they cannot save themselves. They willingly have submitted to the instructions found in the Bible. Now these instructions command them to: Love their spouses unselfishly, to place others first, to personally and in private seek to patch up strained relationships, to personally approach another in sin and seek to bring them to repentance, to deny self, to spend time with their children and discuss the serious things about life, to approach neighbors and strangers with this message, to do things for the right reason, to have sincere motives, to always treat others in a way that is in their true best interest, to be forgiving and forbearing, to remain patient during the most difficult of situations, to accept the truth no matter how hard it hurts and to show kindness to our enemies. Now, which person is "weak"?
