I definitely DO NOT believe this, following is why I don't believe this nonsense : In reality, the Bible claims (and experience confirms) that everyone has a weakness (Romans 3:23; 5:6-8). We also need to define "weakness". What is true weakness? On the one hand we have the self proclaimed sufficient person who argues that they don't need anyone and their goal in life is to avoid things they don't want to do (Luke 12:16-21; 16:19; 2 Timothy 3:1-4). On the other hand we have the Christian, one who has acknowledged that mere human wisdom fails to have the right answers for how to live (Jeremiah 10:23). They have admitted that they have sinned, and that they cannot save themselves. They willingly have submitted to the instructions found in the Bible. Now these instructions command them to: Love their spouses unselfishly, to place others first, to personally and in private seek to patch up strained relationships, to personally approach another in sin and seek to bring them to repentance, to deny self, to spend time with their children and discuss the serious things about life, to approach neighbors and strangers with this message, to do things for the right reason, to have sincere motives, to always treat others in a way that is in their true best interest, to be forgiving and forbearing, to remain patient during the most difficult of situations, to accept the truth no matter how hard it hurts and to show kindness to our enemies. Now, which person is "weak"?

I use to think so until I start hanging out with some good Christians. Then I witnessed their strength and saw that they could say no to many temptations and had strong moral values. I thought that it was good for them, but not for me. I knew that I was was a jelly fish with no spine. I couldn't say no to anything and I was addicted to everything. That was until I received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Then God delivered me from every addiction and turned all of my weaknesses into my strengths! It takes strength to ba able to say no to things and to be able to stand up for what you believe in. It takes the Holy Spirit to be able to live the Christian life and to have faith.

I don't know i'm religious and qualify as a pretty weak person. I can only do 50-60 pushups in a row and that's not enough for an 19 year old male.

I certainly am not going to read your long drawn out question except for the heading part... and it does seem like people with low IQ or some other mental problems are drawn to religion... maybe because they can't connect the dots that makes them seek.

I look at your info as a computer programer would at the virus lines of info in a faulty computer program line
as soon as I saw chapter and verse I didn't even read
I look at it as spyware in your brain, and a virus to your common sense that self replicates and corrupts your 'hard drive' and shuts you down
if by replacing common sense with doctines and quotes of bible, yes, then it's for the weak
if you mean facing the many simple minded converts to insanity who like zombies repeat thier ilk, than no, it takes a strong person to not be swayed by corrupted thoughts and calls to Utopia and thier exclusive club of brainless money giving sessions

I disagree with some of your points. It's not up to me to say definitively that religous and/or faithful people are weak.
Non-believers do not have an avoidance goal. We must confront head-on those things in our lives that are distasteful and difficult. We don't have faith and religion to fall back on. I have a friend who is facing major back surgery. I am organizing times for people to go over to help her family because she doesn't have a church to take care of her, pray for her and assure her that God will take care of her. My father died last year... I have to deal with my grief while my mother can rely on her faith to sustain her. Who is stronger?
I don't have a book of rules to tell me what to do... I must rely on my conscience and humanity to guide me. I was on my way to a play date for my son yesterday and decided to stop for coffee. I called up the other mom and asked her if she wanted a coffee too. Later, when I revealed I'm a non-believer, she was shocked... because I had offered to bring her a coffee, I expressed concern over her husband's in-remission cancer, and wanted to help her with her son. Because I took initiative to do these things, things a Christian "wouldn't hesitate to do because WWJD", she was taken aback. See, I did them because it's just what I do, without hesitation or having to thing WWJD first. Who is stronger?
You state that Christians have to admit they have sinned and that they cannot save themselves. They have to submit to the instructions in the bible. That, to me, indicates weakness. (I'm not saying they ARE weak, I'm merely following your argument.) All of the things you listed that the instructions tell them to do... are things I and other non-believers do WITHOUT those instructions. Who is stronger?
I submit, based on this argument, that non-believers are stronger, less "weak," than the Christian because we don't NEED a good book to guide us. We no more avoid difficult things than Christians... we all hide from our problems from time to time. But that argument is weak and unsubstantiated.

I don't think having faith means your weak, letting preachers and religious leaders tell you what to think and how to vote, what to believe is a sign of a weak person. God has sent many prophets down to us and we make them the gods which is wrong.

It is for people who don't want the medical doctors to come and drug them and charge them huge revisiting fees.
If it was up to scientists, everyone would have 3 sessions a week with multiple doctors. Their bank account would be on automatic withdrawal constantly by "good intentioned" doctors and psychiatrists who like money.

I believe that all people have weakness, but people with blind faith, who never bother to question their faith, their motives, or the truth they have been taught, are the truly weak of mind.

You don't need to be weak or lacking intelligence to believe in religion although to believe in some of its doctrines such as creationism you do of course need to be certifiably insane.
