I must wonder, especially when humanoid skeletons with ape characteristics have been found in Africa, what proof is there that evolution didn't make us what we are? I really don't want an answer containing something non-scientific or proven, so keep the bible quoting to a minimum please.

Saying the fossil record is not "proof". What about the fossil record? Like I pointed out with my question, the fossils of somewhat evolved humans seems to prove evolution, not disprove it.

Religion is a $3 billion dollar a year business that is used to help opiate the masses. That's why in many 3rd world nations, 1 religion (only) shares equal power with government. We are constantly discovering proof that mankind has been in existence on this planet for millions of years, to which the religions say, "Turn a Blind Eye". There is a religion that says that "dinosaurs never existed" because they're not mentioned in the Bible. The only proof that religions have that there is a man/woman living in a cloud is that "someone said so". We have been forced to accept a "God concept" from ancient people whose intellect also told them that the earth was flat. "God did not create man but ancient man who created God".-- Carl Sagan

Man, those WERE ape fossils. How unscientific it is to find something and say that it is something else without proof! Here's some more proof:
1. Take a piece of paper.
2. Rip them into ten equal pieces.
3. Number the papers from one to ten and place them in a stack from one to ten.
4. Throw the papers in the air and allow them to fall onto the floor.

Did they fall into a nice orderly stack of one to ten? Of course not. Order cannot come from disorder (Big Bang cannot makes universes, life, et cetera).

There is none and overwhelming evidence that it did. There is no debate or conjecture except in the minds of religionist freaks. And just to point out that enough of the fossil record is intact to prove evolution occurs-we don't need 99% of fossils, 1% is more than enough.

where is the evidence that it did ??
Sorry, but the reality is - they don't know for sure that these skeletons are human anything - they could be any species of animal that is extinct- yes you can tell a lot from a skeleton BUT a lot is also left to the imagination. Why is it so important that we accept as fact what is only assumption- so much fact mixed with imagination that those that depend on not having to do their own research cannot tell the difference and believe anything.
The fact is there is no evidence- nothing that proves that any one species DNA changed and evolved into another species.
There are so many possiblities regarding these skeletons and we only push the one that fits our agaenda. Sorry, I am not fooled!

Well I expect alto of people will always attempt to separate God and science when it is quite the opposite.God is evolution because he created it along with science and everything in between. So I believe you are doing the same thing and I bet you haven't ever gave much time to looking around and asking how could all of this just be an accident. If that's the case there isn't much anyone will ever convince you of till you meet your maker or HE intervenes for your sake.

Materialistic evolution is not so self-consistent. It claims to be demonstrable on scientific, empirical grounds alone, yet it fails to produce the goods all too often, and cannot be demonstrated; But, it is believed anyway (which, to me, is the equivalent of "faith" in scientific circles: going beyond what is demonstrable). But materialism keeps pretending that it has all the answers when it clearly does not, and refuses to allow any alternative to have any airing whatever. It's a sort of ongoing game or charade.

You even said it yourself..."seems"

Where's the ape that has a spoken language?

What caused that spark of life at that particular point in time?

So after billions of years of no life all of a sudden all over the world slime in pools and ponds began to come alive for no reason?

In the beginning of time where did the universe get all the material needed to form and orchestrate life and seasons and seeds to keep life going for all theses years without interruption?

get ready for "god of the gaps" responses.

before the idiots post it, I want to point out that absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence.

oh well, too late. the first two idiots already used this invalidated reasoning.

There is no proof of evolution, it is voodoo science.

The proof you think you have was disproved long ago.

Your misguided belief in evolution is merely based on faith, that makes it a religion.
