those of us who worship minotaurs and phoenixes find that remark offensive.

Mythology and Folklore involve subjects that have fallen out of mainstream belief. Religion and Spirituality are subjects which still hold a great deal of belief in most of society. Simple definitions game. In some other categories there are subjects that could probably be squished together if you look only at the generalized concepts, but make sense if you broaden your outlook on them.

Yes, but one can take an interest in, and make a study of , Mythology and folklore without actually believing that Atlantis was real and Merlin is sleeping under Beddgelert. Mind you, I suppose one can also take a purely academic interest in religion. Maybe a new category, 'Mumbo Jumbo and Claptrap' is needed for the credophiles?

Religions are belief systems, which usually have stories which teach how good followers are rewarded, and how bad people (usually portrayed as being against the religion promoted) are punished or outcast.
Spirituality isn't necessarily religion, but other belief systems which may or may not be connected with believing in God, i.e. believing in life after death, karma etc.

Because it is in the category of " Religion & Spirituality", sounds logical, don't you think? Religion is not a Mythodology and Spirituality is not Folklore.

Because the Bible defines Tarot cards, readings, mediums, and astrology as a sin. If you open your bible to the first testiment you will find that God told Abraham that mediums among them are sinners and violate the word He has set forth. When you go into astrology you will find that you are worshipping the stars because you are looking to the stars to guide you, that is idology.
It's not about Religion being unintelligent, it's about Yahoo being politically correct.

83% of people believe in a one true God, creater of earth and all things in it. i'm proud to be in the majority. i wake up every morning and thank God for everything. the bible is not fables, its life lessons to be learned and followed, unlike mythology. you 17% of non believers can talk till you are blue in the face, it doesnt change the truth. God is real. no matter how much you try to deny that its not going to change anything. you have no effect on us true believers. i'm not going to quote bible verses at you, i have to agree that its stupid to do so.... so, heres another phrase for you..."you will be assimilated, resistance is futile."
