I am a non smoker, here in MI the board is going up to ban all smoking from public places. Even outside and designated areas. I find this offensive and a violation of mans right. Next they'll tell us we cant chew gum in public places because its bad for your teeth and its messy to clean off the bottom of your shoe ;)

How can the government create laws based on the bibilical institution of marriage when we have a separation of church and state. If marriage is biblical, thus religious, then how can government govern marriage?

I see so many people who answer other people's questions rudely. Is this really necessary? So what if someone makes a typo or is not knowledgeable in an area. Why say anything at all?

Due to some really bad things that recently happened to me, I need at least $2k, and could really use up to $4k to get myself back on track. I am open to anything to getting the money. If I can get 1000 people to dontate $2 to me that even works. Partial money helps too. Everything adds up. My job is even willing to pay back the amount due on a weekly basis as well.

The usual resources have been exhausted - family, friends, work, churches, local charity organizations (I am not a charity case as far as they are concerned - and the churches dont give out money - bunch of hippocrites there).

I have gotten a lot of help so far to take care of many things, but what is left for me to take care of requires cash... It was not so bad until last night... That's why the urgent question here now...

The supposed sin of homosexuality is held to so strongly by "the church, the christian establishment but not the others. I mean why is it alright that I can work on Sunday, wear polyblend socks and why can't I go out and stone a betrothed virgin who doesn't yell loud enough when she is raped?

Ok,a friend of mine named micheal said his sis, toldhim, that people will just go to heaven not hell,is that tru will lets think about it....

Everyone has good right and eveyone had bad right,so its pretty much to me a 50/50 deal here u know.

I mean no- one can be truly evil or truly good, unless u want to be a heartless human emotionless person like SOME People out-there who dont give a god dam.

Ok say u lied alot, but when trouble breaks out on ur friends or neighbors or outcasts. That u feel that need help u run to them and save them, so would u go to hell more for lying more,or heaven for saving lives,U decide.....................................

Are we?? How do we view ourselves and each other in regards to race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, social standing, etc...???

What are your thoughts, in your own words, concerning the equality of your fellow man?

There is a verse in the Quran [Al Tawba 9:60] that lists people who are eligible to receive Sadaqa (financial support). Surprisingly, among those people who are eligible to receive charity money are people who are newly converted to Islam.

Does anyone know why should Muslims pay charity for people who are newly converted to Islam? If those people are poor they should simply receive charity as "POOR", which is the first category of people who are eligible to receive charity money.

Also, Islamic history tells that prophet Muhammed used to give large amount of money to tribe leaders to convince them to convert to Islam.

Is this some kind of a bribe?

I don't want the bible, toran, god, jesus any science theories etc. to be used in answering this question. The only sources which can be used are pieces of information in which the entire contents has been proved true, or can easily be proved true.

No God, no texts which you believe in, no "God said so and he is perfect" etc. only stuff I can read and think "yes, that is easily proved true or has been already and is nothing to do with theory"

does a good job shedding light on the way Christianity really is:

"When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me."
-Emo Philips

Seems like that's what Christianity boils down to. You can knowingly do something wrong and totally be forgiven for it without any punishment whatsoever. How would people feel if we adopted that into our legal system? That doesn't seem like a good way to make society better.

Why does Christianity think it's okay to steal, murder, rape, and commit every other possible crime?
