Simply put, we have a Bush for President.

The American troops are just doing what they're told. Their job.
The only people that made the decision to go to war was the president, Mr Bush and government people.
The American people in general have nothing to do with it.
How would you like someone to talk about you and look down on you, for something you weren't involved in?
Voting doesn't really have anything to do with it. Voting is like picking the lesser of two evils, and there's no way to know if the president is going to live up to his promises, or that he will make certain decisions. So direct your question and anger at Mr Bush and co, and not the general American public.
