How can the government create laws based on the bibilical institution of marriage when we have a separation of church and state. If marriage is biblical, thus religious, then how can government govern marriage?

The institution of marriage is an abomination. The state has no place in a marriage. The marriage certificate invites the state to participate and ultimately contol a family unit. Civil unions are ok for legal reasons but Marriage should be a covenant between a two people and God the state has no place in it.

Most unfortunately, legal marriage bestows many tax benefits to those married..why, I do not know! I see no reason that a married couple should pay less in tax than I do, when I have no children to educate. It would seem that if fairness prevailed, those with children would pay more for the services they recieve, wouldn't it? From what I see, education is NOT benefitting me, for what the schools are turning out is anything BUT educated. So my tax dollars are supporting married's baby sitting fees.
Personally, I think that all people who are going to have children should face testing...too many people are churning out unwanted children that become a huge burden on the system in many ways..increased crime, increase welfare, you name it. ... and this is the product of STRAIGHTS! These people are certainly NOT what I would want as role models, were I to have more children. Thanks, but no thanks. I read their daily sickness here, and shudder that they might raise children filled with their own hate. Is it any wonder they are such failures in life? They are so filled with envy of Gays that they become paralized in their own lives. On the other hand, the world needs grunt workers, and this bunch fills the bill.

Thank you... maybe they need to be reminded of the 14th amendment
"No state shall make of enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive a person of life, liberty, or property without due process of the law; nor deny any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Marriage is not strictly religious. People who are not religious get married; nearly all different religions have marriage. This is like saying that laws against murder are based only on the commandment, "Thou shalt not kill." Marriage is societal, not religious.
