What if I told you I was visited by God last night? That panicking; I went to the church this morning and said “I do not believe in God, I am an Atheist but last night I he visited me and he said I would bare him another son.”

What if I had a pregnancy test that proved I was indeed pregnant and I tell everyone that I’ve never slept with anyone before and that God visited me

Would you believe I was pregnant with God’s Child? Or would you think I was easy and trying to cover up that I got knocked up outside of marriage.

Which scenario makes more sense to you? Technically speaking don’t you think it would definitely make an atheist a believer if I was knocked up by God and had his kid. Wouldn’t you rather an Atheist get knocked up because generally other Atheists would listen more seriously to another Atheist than A Believer. Or like I said, would you believers just label me a skank because why would God pick an Atheist to bring forth his next kid into the world?

Hello, all. I know this situation is *so* typical. I have a research paper to do on the positive effects of fairytales and fantasy literature on children. I've found a lot of great info at SurLaLune to get me started, and I'm not trying to use this board as an escape from doing the research myself, but the children's librarian at my library had no idea what I was talking about when I asked if they had "The Last Unicorn". Should I avoid citing Bruno Bettelheim completely? I don't want my professor to think I'm foolish for citing a source who's been famously discredited. I need advice about where else I can look for good reference materials.
Any advice at all would be much appreciated; it's been 10+ years since I've done a thesis paper, and I want this one to be good. It's 35% of my grade.

Why can't a person have a personal relationship with God, and believe God to be a female and come to yahoo answers and ask a question about God the female?

Is this, evidence, of Christian ethnocentrism, or is it the b word that ends in rainwashing?

Why does every question that isn't of the Christian mentality subject to the punishment of "you mock God".

You mock my God by calling God male. That is the Christian person's logic, although I come to a different conclusion.

Why do Christians mock my God by calling God male.

My husband and I have been asked to be Godparents for friends that we are already godparents for,( their first child is our god son).Here is my situation, My husband is Mexican and I am not, the couple are both Mexican, my husband says that once they ask you to be God parents you can not say no out of respect, my problem is I can't afford to do it. In the Mexican culture, the GP buy the clothes, pay the church, help make the party and buy a special gift. I have 3 kids of my own to take care of.I want to hear from Mexicans, what would happen if we said no?

Him and I met at a club the other night and he said that he was gay and that nobody knew that he was, he hadn't come out yet. . He was cute and we got a long quite well, we made out and **** and he wanted to meet up another night. We walked, held hands, and his two girl friends both thought we looked cute together. So I called him the day that we wanted to meet up and left him some texts and never heard anything from him. I got a message from him this morning saying that he is straight and told me that he only messes around when he is drunk and if he gets drunk again he'd give me a call. What kind of straight dude likes to mess around with a guy when he is drunk? I don't know what I should say back to him im just fücking confused.

I've always been atheist. There was a point in my life when I went to church, and truly wanted to believe there was a god. It failed. Nothing that was said and nothing I read convinced me that there was/is a god. So, would you suggest to a person like me who absolutely CAN'T have blind faith to go to church? What good would that do? And does that make a person evil in your eyes simply because they cannot have faith in your god?
