Why can't a person have a personal relationship with God, and believe God to be a female and come to yahoo answers and ask a question about God the female?

Is this, evidence, of Christian ethnocentrism, or is it the b word that ends in rainwashing?

Why does every question that isn't of the Christian mentality subject to the punishment of "you mock God".

You mock my God by calling God male. That is the Christian person's logic, although I come to a different conclusion.

Why do Christians mock my God by calling God male.

Oh sure Jim. You already know why God is perceived as a male. Cultural influences. It's as simple as that. God is actually a hermaphrodite.

God is neither male nor female. In human language there is no neuter pronoun that is proper to fit God. God is not an it. It refers to something other than human. It has been common in all languages to refer to the supreme being as a male because religion has from the very beginning been controlled by the males of the tribe. If you wish to refer to God in the feminine gender God will not be mocked. You will be no more right or wrong than those that refer to God in the male gender. This is not a doctrinal issue---it is one of those petty matters that theologians waste there time on rather than teaching and preaching the gospel.

I laughed out loud when I read an article that was written about a group of scientists that had finally proven the age old question, "Which came first? The chicken or the egg?" They came to the conclusion that the egg came first. When you think of it, it makes complete sense. The first chicken would have resulted from two other birds mating with something interesting and unusual happening to the fertilized egg's DNA.

I bring this up because the ancient religions speak of a Mother Goddess birthing the world. She would be the harbinger of the original egg. Consequently, your idea of god being female makes complete sense to me.

Jesus soke of God as His father. That good enough for me. Any time that someone makes provocative statements to try and confuse those people who are legitimately seeking God... God knows it. It is God who will judge whether he is being mocked.

Christians believe their faith is the only true one. So they have no problem mocking and deriding other people who believe differently. Christians act very UN-Christlike most of the time.

God has no sex, so speaking of him being male or female is moot. I'm sure he has better things to do than write down mockeries in a giant book to smite thee later.

Because NOWHERE in the Bible will you ever find God referenced in the feminine gender. It's always been, He, Him, His and etc. so that's why you probably get mocked so often.

Isn't it a little ridiculous to believe God would have a gender, sex organs, etc.?

everyone knows in a household, it's really women that boss everyone around.

Since God is the supreme boss, I would figure them to be a woman.
