Oh dearie, touching - in no way concepts throwing - a ill man or woman or "sickie" would desire to be prevented. you ought to capture some thing and would leave out artwork, you recognize. in case you're lady the age-previous "female matters" works properly without going into specifics, extraordinarily if your boss is male. in maximum situations, "abdomen issues - i think of that's the flu" is a greater polite way of exclaiming "i'm unable to be very a approaches from the showering room today."

sprained ankle, or some other limb injury that you might need a doctor's appointment for - then you don't have to put on a fake grissly voice which sounds nothing like the real thing anyway.
ps. throwing sickies is naughty

As a woman, we should be able to come up with umpteen 'reasons'---not just 'excuses'. But for a man, it's rather tough. Sorry, this answer is not much of a help!

I have a good work ethics. I don't call in unless I absolutely have to...(I can always use the money)
When I do call in, it's generally because I have a migraine and can hardly see straight or move. If they get mad, oh well. Not my fault. I certainly didn't do this to myself.

I usually say it's something intestinal. Most people don't want to hear about that sort of thing. They just assume it's bad if you're calling in becuase of it, and don't want details.
