It seems they try and invoke a feeling of guilt in their congregations through talk of original sin and being nothing without God or Jesus, and then they pass around the offering plate, right?

Benedict cited the words of a Byzantine emperor who characterized some of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad as "evil and inhuman," particularly "his command to spread by the sword the faith."
The pope said Sunday that he was "deeply sorry" about the reactions to his remarks and that they did not reflect his own opinions. Earlier this week, he said his comments were open to misinterpretation and that he had "deep respect" for Islam.

At Islam's third-holiest shrine, the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem, hundreds of worshippers hoisted black flags and banners that read, "Conquering Rome is the answer."

In the West Bank city of Nablus, Hamas supporters took to the streets after prayers, shouting slogans against the pope and waving Hamas flags. Raising their hands to the sky, the more than 2,000 protesters chanted: "We put up with hunger, detention and occupation, but we won't put up with the offending the prophet. We sacrifice our lives for you prophet."

More in details.

I don't believe in original sins (neither do Jews)
I don't believe that Jesus' death was atonement (I believe that he came to guide and teach how to uphold the torah)
I believe that Jesus was a man, not God and the "son of God" as in its original meaning " servant of God".

The bible itself says countless time that no man will be helld accountable for the sins of another. Even in revelations it states that everyone will be judge according to his/her own actions.

and my pillow had "tracks", I won't go into details about my hair or what I tasted! I was a little pi**ed cuz I thought one of them did his "thing" on me in my sleep! I asked and they both denied it and said they had head aches too! I do it at least once a week anyways so I'm not a prude and I'm not as mad as much as I am confused and kind of scared. Now I'm wondering if it was a guy who broke in!! How could this be? I'm thinking about getting an alarm. Weird! Just wanted to share (vent, rant or report) about it.

Last year when I was 57, while standing holding hands in church, for no apparent reason. I went completely unconscious. As I awoke I felt like rushing electric waters churning through my body. Later my son who was standing 10 feet in front of me and unaware of what happened to me said, “man I felt the spirit rush by me. Like a swirling wind, it all most knocked me over.” The woman who was holding my hand, when it hit me said, “It passed you and hit your Dad”. All my life I’ve been in and out of church mostly out. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before and I just don’t understand it. I have many questions so just please tell me what you know and your personal experience. Thanks.

I just read in the current issue of the "Onion" that Father Thomas Mandow (Taos, NM) can actually turn just about anything into the body & blood of Christ.

According to the article, at a press conference he displayed: " ...a transubstantiated 24-piece bucket of chicken, a 64-oz Mountain Dew bottle and an issue of Sports Illustrated.."

How did he come by these powers? He believes it's because he was bitten by a radioactive bishop.

is this a gift from the almighty?

Why would it be such a stretch that Jesus Christ is Adam?

It says in Paul what is the translation in Eng, Jesus is the (it says pattern, in Dutch says something like foreprint, and I say previous incarnation??)...of Adam... Romans 5 12-17 around there?? Read before you call me something again.. through the sin of one man,,, that same man will get us out it says in my bible see they say the in english version/// the first and the last//

For me it is the thing that makes sense, paradise regained is when We are together again and free of the illusion of being seperate from the one we belong to// We are the Bride and we get restored to our original state//

Please do not close right up on me just because you have never consider reincarnation (why do they ask if John is elijah?? They obviously believed in it?) and also take the time to click on my avatar and answer my other questions//
