I was talking with a friend of mine who is gay and I posed a question to him. What would the world be like if gay was the norm and being straight was not?

I mean it ranks them based on most viewed and most emailed, but why do people find that one so compelling? Thats been there for a couple weeks now. Its a grotesque image. I feel sorry for that sheep, what a way to go. (Not that becoming veal parmesan is any better)

I heard something by word of mouth yesterday, so I wanted to run it by here.

Someone said something about how Mohammed at one point said that Allah told him that his tribe's 3 current Godesses could be worshiped as sisters to Allah, but that whole idea would conflict with the monotheistic idea that Mohammed was preaching to begin with, so then Mohammed said that this was actually Satan talking to him.

The person went on to say that this kind of thing would disqualify Mohammed as being a true prophet.

Have you heard about this before? It seemed kind of odd to me, but it sparked my interest and I'm going to do some research, but I just wanted to get some other viewpoints first.

It means 'Submit' to Al'lah in Arabic

If god is perfect and he is knowing, he "is", then why did his greatest creation sin against him? He must of knew that this would happen.

Have you ever heard the first part of this sentence followed by a non-racist comment? If there's nothing racist about a statement, why the need to deny it before you've even said what you think?

Look at all these protests by the Muslims the world over, over the remarks of the Pope.
They are protesting basically because they do not like to be called a violent religion.
But look how they protest on any issue. To prove that they are not violent they oganise violent protests. How can they prove that they are not a violent community?

I am the chapter president of APO, we have a national convention this december. Atleast two fo us must go and its around 800 bucks a person once you add in trasnportation and hotel. Thing is, we never had a lot of luck selling things, and the vast majority of fund raising has to be done on campus. Any ideas? (p.s. we have 100 to buy stuff to raise fund)

I've come to find that a lot of people i meet from puerto rico and other latin american countries (except Brazil of coarse) seem to take pride in their european heritage but never take notice of their african heritage. I was just wondering are they taught about the slave trade in those countries and the african influence around them (food, music,etc) or is it a taboo. is considering yourself africana instead of hispanic frowned upon in those countries or not as "cool".
