Thank you for your question. It is always important to increase your knowledge of the deen.
Istikhara is known to us from the Hadith of Rasul Allah (saw) wherein many of his companions said that he taught them the Istikhara in the same way he taught them the Quran.
He (saw) said that one should perform the Istikhara prayer before making a decision about any major event in one's life. IE before entering into business, travel, marriage, and etc.
The meaning is simply that one is asking Allah (swt) to guide one towards what is good for one and away from what is bad for one. The answer can come in many forms but many people feel that the answer comes best through dreams.
There is more to it than this of course but I have found Istikhara to be a very important practice, as a matter of fact I am in the process of writing a short book (pamphlet actually) about it.

Yes i know people who have performed istikhara what ever was in there heart or mind has been revealed to them.

I do.... it was a very private problem but i received a very clear message from an istikhara.... but i also think it depends on the method you choose

Yes I do however you need to do it several time before you really understand the real message. Unless you have strong inner light, then you need to do only once. You also have to observe the time and your mental state and the cleanliness of your body in order to receive the answer and to understand it clearly.

I believe in solah istikhara. It helps me a lot to make the decision. so do solah hajat.. my wish came true

absolutely YES..
i have made a a hard decision bout my college and i ask my god if this decision good for me or not .. and if not i want the best for me ..and a lot of decision that i decide it in many life thing.
i swear my sister i am not SORROWFUL at all .. i am happy and graceful about what ALLAH decide for me ..
i never choose any wrong decision bcoz i ask ALLAH before .. all of us believe that ALLAH know every thing about the future of every one and he can do every thing :)
