No where in the Holy Bible God asked to prostrate down to worship him.
But the true worshipers will worship God in Spirit and Truth.
Though Jesus Christ is God Himself, Worshiping Jesus Christ is not correct.
Jesus Christ asked to worship the Father, but he asked to pray to Father the name of Jesus Christ.
Its also wrong to Worship or Praying to Holy Spirit.

Jesus is God and deserves our worship. I agree that we don't HAVE TO kneel/lie prostrate, but you should try it--it adds a little humility, helps you remember how lowly and unimportant you are.

Kneeling and prostrating can assist us in creating a correct attitude of reverance and respect before a holy God.
Jesus taught us to worship his Father. He said that we need to believe also in him, who is from from the Father.

Worship is a very poor choice of words.
This word was picked by those who originally translated the bible and it is still with us today.
It is not the best choice to translate the meaning and intent of the idea
Relationship would be a lot better choice.
Love and blessings

"You do not need to kneel and prostrate yourself when you worship God?"
Of course the religious don't kneel. There are too many catholic priests around looking for prostrate people to penetrate their prostates.

I may not need to, but I GET to. It is a privilege. I agree with King David. I was glad when they said let us go unto the house of the Lord. Amen!?
Jesus is the God.
