Have you ever heard the first part of this sentence followed by a non-racist comment? If there's nothing racist about a statement, why the need to deny it before you've even said what you think?

Leo, if the argument about immigration doesn't involve any assumption that foreigners are necessarily parasitic, there wouldn't be any need for the person to raise the word "racist", the argument would stand on its own.

Hi, I completely agree with you! I'm White, my partners Black and we have 2 dual heritage kids. I grew up in an all White area, and every day I would hear that stupid comment! Yes you are goddamn racist if you say it, because whatever follows is always a statement based on the judgement and stereotyping of people based on skin colour or ethnicity! .....Hence the RACISM!
Just by saying the line 'I'm not racist...' doesn't make them not racist, it just means they don't wanna appear bigotted and are scared to say what they really feel. Racism is a massive problem and I'm sick of people trying to play it down like it doesn't matter anymore, yes it does matter and just because these fools claim their not racists, they still fuel the evil fire of racism and discrimination that threatens my family daily.
The thing is these bigotted opinions these people hold may be they are trying to keep them under wraps, but they are the reason why the school teachers who hold them continue to discriminate against Black kids, putting them in lower sets, why housing officers offer Whites houmes in the best areas, why bosses offer Whites jobs and why the criminal justice system is the biggest institutionalist racist organisation.
If these people weren't racist, they wouldn't be thinkin what they're thinking.............so they should keep their opinions to themselves and choke on their own ignorant ideas.

I'm not sure? Is it racist to say that you don't like a specific 'black' person or is that a personality clash? Because I have heard someone say (frequently) "I'm not racist but I bloody hate xxxxx!"

I just always assumed that they are racist really. Why else would they think they might be thought of as racist (thus get on the defensive before they've even spoke) unless in their head they believe that what they're about to say to be racist!

i don't believe in slave labour, but i do believe that the country should close it's borders on immigration, and halt the use of the channel tunnel, block it up some how, then those still trying to get in will have to come by boat, which in some occasions put a few immigrants off.

Either that or employ the australian view of vetting all applicants who can help Great Britain become Greater. All those waiting to be vetted, or have been denied access will stay in a detention centre and sent on the next boat home, regardless of the Human Rights Act (some cases those legal obligations should be forgotten or relaxed upon)

As I don't suggest shooting them on sight as that will just end up with the UK in the European Court of Human Right (ECHR)

The Blacks do seem to have a lot of their race in Jail..for being a tad naughty.. I wont Blab on about the problems Blacks experience throughout life.. but I would think that being Black would prove to be difficult.. with the problems they come up against. I think all Bad people in Jails (Black, White or Pink) should be made to do tasks like Refuge collecting, helping the elderly, building work..etc etc.. instead of living it up in Jail playing games & watching TV..

Probably because we have all been trained to be hyper-sensitive to be "politically correct" or we will be viewed as intolerant or judgmental or something.

I think every American should say whatever is on his or her mind. It's called freedom of speech, and I think it has been slowly and methodically taken away from us.

It's just that when those rights were determined it was understood that most people would be basing their individual behaviors on a (sp?)Judeao-Christian standard. Without that, freedom of speech can become a hate-fest.

Yes I have, people feel the need to say that they aren't racist because if you say things about controlling immigration etc. people jump down your throat with accusations about you being racist.

Granted, the majority of people say something racist after it though!

i don't think we should bring back slavery , some of my closest mates at school are black , they come from all over the world , like Nigeria , Ghana and places in Africa . I'm sure if you was black you wouldn't want to be a slave would you?!?!?!? My friends that are black are not criminals they are probably more honest then my white mates ! and are certainly not criminals , i know that , and i guess you don't have many friends from different cultures do you ?!?!?!?
