No, I am White and was called a whitie and a cracker by blacks on the job. Blacks can call themselves the N. word but no one else can, here is way. A co-worker that is white called a black the N. word and was fired, the blacks that called us whities where not fired, because the laws say the N. word in recongized as a racial slur and part of the civil rights reform code. But, whitie and cracker is not part of the civil rights reform code. That is why the company rewrote its company policy on name calling.

What would be the racists slur. I wouldn't take it as such, but I might have a word in the managers ear.

if its perceived as racist by the target or anyone else then yes its a racial slur which you can report. Its then up to your employers policy as to any diciplinary investigation and punishment that might occur (although they should inform you of the outcome)
