I don't believe in original sins (neither do Jews)
I don't believe that Jesus' death was atonement (I believe that he came to guide and teach how to uphold the torah)
I believe that Jesus was a man, not God and the "son of God" as in its original meaning " servant of God".

The bible itself says countless time that no man will be helld accountable for the sins of another. Even in revelations it states that everyone will be judge according to his/her own actions.

My thoughts exactly. Namaste.

"By oneself is evil done; by oneself is one defiled. By oneself is evil left undone; by oneself is one made pure. Purity and impurity depended on oneself; no one can purify another"

The Bible explains that the church is the Body of Christ. How can we claim to love the head (Christ), if we don't love His body (the church)? I John 4:20 says it this way, "If a man say I love God and hateth his brother he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" Granted the church is imperfect, but you are correct in saying that we will not be held responsible for the past sins of the church.

I don't understand how you can believe that Christ came to guide us and to teach us the Torah, if you don't believe in what He taught. His primary teaching was His identity as the Messiah. Either He was the Christ, or He was the worst teacher who ever lived. In fact the Torah points to Him as well. However, Jesus said He came to fulfill the Torah. I would like to talk to you about this more if you are interested. God Bless You.

I am sorry.

I will pray for you to come to know Jesus as your Lord and savior.

The Bible also says the only way to the Father is through the Son.

The Bible says in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. This is talking about Jesus.

If you continue in your beliefs you will never know God.

I am truly sorry.

God Bless

Looks like putting the cart before the horse. Shouldn't your own beliefs be sorted out before dealing with church issues? I don't mean to stop all church activity because you just might find help sorting out what you believe.

Be encouraged to keep asking, to keep thinking, to keep meetig new people. Then you should be ready to imitate those that you admire. All of the above should take priority over church issues.

How can you quote the Bible to defend your beliefs and yet deny the Bible when you disagree with it?

Isn't that a double standard?

Count these:

Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth.
Exo 20:5 Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them: I am the Lord thy God, mighty, jealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me:
Exo 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands to them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Deu 23:2 A mamzer, that is to say, one born of a prostitute, shall not enter into the church of the Lord, until the tenth generation.
Deu 23:3 The Ammonite and the Moabite, even after the tenth generation shall not enter into the church of the Lord for ever:
Deu 23:4 Because they would not meet you with bread and water in the way, when you came out of Egypt: and because they hired against thee Balaam, the son of Beor, from Mesopotamia in Syria, to curse thee.
Deu 23:5 And the Lord thy God would not hear Balaam, and he turned his cursing into thy blessing, because he loved thee.
Deu 23:6 Thou shalt not make peace with them, neither shalt thou seek their prosperity all the days of thy life for ever.
Deu 23:7 Thou shalt not abhor the Edomite, because he is thy brother: nor the Egyptian, because thou wast a stranger in his land.
Deu 23:8 They that are born of them, in the third generation shall enter into the church of the Lord.
