I hardly ever see religious people calling others names. All I see are people who have no religion when they are stumped - " go take meds" "read about science". swear words and ect. blah blah blah.

Real mature

I keep being told he loves everyone and etc....., yet people and that little book allegedly being his word, tell me that if I don't worship him he'll send me to a fiery place where I'll go through pain, suffering, and torture for all eternity?

How is this loving? Why should I want to worship such a mean, cruel, and downright monsterous alleged god?

first of all it's a fact that muslims killed to spread there religion. However it's pretty ignorant that muslims bombed 2 or so non-Catholic churches that don't have any association to the pope you must under stant the pope has knowledge of other religions and the mans suppose to practice prudence meaning he thinks about something before he says it obviously it didn't just come to his head he believe it because it was a fact... before stating something about how he should learn what's in the Koran ... learn what's the difference between other religions like catholicsm, orthodox, protestant... not the same thing very different so seriously before you state something learn the difference between the other religions..

Except through prayer i know. It seems like GOD was once very willing to let us know where he stood on things. Today if someone other than Fallwell and Robertson have divine inspiration, christians would laugh. Is there somewhere in the Bible that says GOD will not shout down from the heavans anymore?

Do you feel prescription drugs kill creativity? expecially in children? I seem to notice Drs.and parents are really quick to put people on meds....just because they have what society would label insane thoughts....just beacuse someone draws a picture of say... a rotting bunny....or writes disgusting murder thoughts in journals or stories...everyone these days are so quick to say this child/person is insane lets feed him/her pills.....i mean we dont put a bandaid on a cut before it starts to bleeding...who knows they could become the next stephen king or dali..what do u think about this?

When someone raise an allegation or say a truth which is a truth , you react.

When someone simply raise an allegation with out evidence, you dont react . Do you?

Example
When you call a fat person fat, they react
when you call a slim person fat , they smile.

Pope said the truth . he he he.

My eldest niece took Spanish in HS and now decided to take Latin in her first year of college. (They dropped this choice in my HS 35 years ago; about the only thing I know is that Latin seems to have some sort of WEIRD obsession with the gender of tables. How DO you determine a table's gender, anyway? Never figured that out in German....)

As a surprise gift from her godmother, do I send her a copy of _Latin for Dummies_, a *very large* bottle of extra-strength headache pills, a big "crying pillow", or a couple bottles of high-proof booze, because she may NEED a good stiff drink now and then?

Suggestions, comments?

....or have a religion so you will be saved." I see these type of questions often, but how can an atheist "believe" in god or follow a religion if they truly don't believe in any such thing? Especially if they were brought up in say a Catholic or Christian family, and come to the conclusion in their own sense that there is no god? What is the point in lying to give people who believe the satisfaction of knowing that their numbers are growing with lies and deception?

religion is a big cult brain washing all you believers!!!!! why go to church and listen to a scripture on common sence .......they read a scripture in the bible and then they translate in to you so it makes sences and all it really is, is things about common sence... stuff like " love eachother, dont steal, be good" stuff you should already know because you've been tought does things from when you were a kid. come on people you go there (church) to waste your sunday morning........ you wake up early and go listen to things you should already F-n know.... and here is the funny thing.... you believers always break the rules they tell you to follow........ then why go and listen to SH-t you wont do in the first place......???? ohhh and on top of all this you give your money to church in a way of a "donation" so the church gets richer and make you belive every time you do something wrong you can come and pray for forgiveness..........so keep f-ing up and go donate your money dumbasses!!!

I am going for an interview soon..and i will need help to say the following:

I have been studying French since I was small when I lived in Canada.
However, over this past year, because I am not studying French at school anymore, I have lacked speaking practice. Instead, I do more passive reading on French.
So I am not very comfortable speaking in French right now. Perhaps we could try another language, like German?

Thanks!!

My daughter (being raised Bhuddist by her Mother) asked me about 911 the other night because of her homework and wanted to know why everyone was fighting and why these men did this.

I was working at the time, and said "Religion, they are fighting over religion" Then my daighter said what is the difference? I was half way into some Jameson at the time, and wanted to give a sarcastic remark, but instead told her we would discuss as I was working. The real reason was because I can't honestly say the real difference 100%.

So I was thinking of inviting over a Rabbi, a Priest, a Pastor, and a Muslim Cleric. Do you think (AND I AM BEING VERY SINCERE!) they will be able to explain the differences or their points of view without argueing or getting into a confrontation in front of her?

Another concern is my Daughter is very blunt (most children are) and I am concerned if she said something to offend any of them, would they understand this is a child who means no disrespect?

I asked a question and got great answers from both sides (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArpOrMZnXHGUkdfAubnedEbsy6IX?qid=20060921072918AAkGwsD

This however baffles me:

"You and ur demonic sect have already drawn ur conclusions and you and them are full of "BS" so go take a laxative." -Sela

That isn't very Christian of her is it? Why on Earth would she treat fellow human beings this way when Christians are taught to Love thy neighbor and spread the word of God? I find this appalling (as I would if any other religious / non religious person would say to me or anyone else.)
