Would it make everyone safer?

Sure. And that trash about shooting inside a plane needs to stop. You cannot bring an airliner down with a handgun from the inside, that is pure Hollywood fantasy (Mythbusters proved it).
On the other hand missed shots hitting passengers IS somethign to worry about. Using less than lethal force is a good way to get killed and is even more difficult to use and train with than using lethal force.

I think everyone should have a gun on a plane, then terrorists will not be able to do jack....

In my opinion it would make the plane not safe at all becuz if there was some1 on the plane that wanted to high-jack the plane then it would give them more weapons to use. becuz all the high-jackers would hav to do is distract the pilot and then punch the pilot when he's not looking and after that he is able to take the guns off the pilot and then gets to hold every one hostage plus it could shoot a whole in the plane and there goes all the oxygen or it could damage the fuselage which isn't safe at all

sure. some do. The Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) application is run by making use of the Federal Air Marshal provider with the purpose of permitting go with pilots of commercial airline flights to hold firearms.

No they should give them tasers or something else. It is not very safe to shoot a gun in an airplane. If a bullet punctured a hole in a window or the fuselage, the hole would grow larger and eventually suck everyone and everything out of the planes, to their gruesome death. So no it wouldnt be safer, maybe more of a scare tactic. There are safer ways of deterring attackers.

You damn right they should! At the least. Also, the pilots should also be no way assesible for anyone.Thick steel door that doesnt open At all--no communication with pilots, pilots no communication with passengers. You can blow up the plan by getting a bomb on board (airport security has their part) but By God you will not take over and fly planes into buildings. Realfreaking simple.

A tazer would be safer to use. You do not want to punch a hole through a window at 40,000 ft.

Only if flight attendants are allowed to carry guns too.

Only if they receive intensive training and weekly qualifying on their weapons. People who wave guns around that don't know how to use them usually get them taken away from them. And then used on them.

its not advisable. because if it is a good flight plan of the terrorist, the use of their guns is not useful anymore especially in numbers. its the responsibility of airport security to avoid any problem.
