Nah. The creature is of the same species as Lucy, who lived about 3.3 million years ago. The baby to which you refer lived 3.2 million years ago, so it only proves Lucy wasn't the only one of her kind.

They are pretending to be God.
Instead of spreading the word of God they choose to judge, criticize, swear etc...all of the things he tells them not to do.
