Except through prayer i know. It seems like GOD was once very willing to let us know where he stood on things. Today if someone other than Fallwell and Robertson have divine inspiration, christians would laugh. Is there somewhere in the Bible that says GOD will not shout down from the heavans anymore?

Heb 1:1 In the past, God spoke to our people through the prophets. He spoke at many times. He spoke in different ways.
Heb 1:2 But in these last days, he has spoken to us through his Son. He is the one whom God appointed to receive all things. God made everything through him.

He speaks through his Word and through His ambassadors. He speaks to a limited extent through nature. (remember, the rain falls on both the good and evil)
Remember, since the bible was written over the span of 2000 years or so, there were long periods that seemed like God was silent.

God speaks to me all the time. He is talking to me this very moment as I am typing this. I try to stay in touch with him at all times. I do not need to be praying to hear from him. I just need to be quiet and let him in. Most people never hear from God because they are too busy running their mouths or thinking about themselves. God is not rude. He will not interrupt a useless and pointless conversation even if it means saving a life. People need to make it a habit of shutting their mouths and opening their hearts.

I believe it's in the book of Hebrews that says in days past, God spoke to us through the prophets, but now by His son.....I believe that means that God spoke to us through Jesus, and Jesus still "speaks to us" by the revealed Word, our bible. Everything for life and godliness can be found there. And, of course, you're right, in prayer we are spoken to, and also, every born again believer has in them the Holy Spirit, which also "speaks" to us, guides us, admonishes us, encourages us, convicts us.

God does talk to us. Sometimes people just don't listen to what he has to say. And a lot of the time people are afraid to speak out when God has spoken to them for fear of what others will do to them. It's a shame.

God, and other religious symbols are Man-Made! When will you Sheeple understand this? YOU are your "god", YOU decide what is right and what is wrong, if you have a brain and can use it! Why do you need anyone to tell you how to think? Until Sheeple learn to understand themselves and be responsible for their actions and stop blaming or relying on some deity to save us you're lost.

He does, God speaks to his prophet today. His prophet is Gordon B. Hinckley, leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." (Amos 3:7) http://www.mormon.org/learn/0,8672,1092-1,00.html

He does.

It may not be thunder in the clouds for the masses, but He speaks.

I find it both amusing and sad that the answers in here cannot accept that but their personal opinions change nothing.
