I totally believe in finding the truth, but I am with Jehovas on only this, not celebrating Holidays and this is why: They are all wrong. Why do you celebrate the Passover as easter? with stupid bunnies and eggs? has nothing to do with God and what about Christmas, uh oh, I know there are some emotions stirred with this one. Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus and you are blind if you think it does. Jesus was not born in the winter, the pictures are wrong, study your bible. Why do we give presents to family & friends, it isn't our birthday. Should we rather do some kind act toward others to be a gift to Jesus. Wow. I believe in God but I think it is astounding how so many christians are even blind to the Worldly ways.

Look. That belief only applies in Judeo-Christianity. Any god with a follower exists. Any god who has ever been believed in exists. But Pagan gods are not just a split-up version of your own god. It's offensive to tell us that. Allah, Yahweh, and God are all the same god, yes. But Thor is not the same as them. Zeus is not like them. Quetzecoatl and He Whose Name Must Not Be Spoken But Only Whispered are not the same as your God. So don't come in and tell me that my gods are the same as your god. It's just a way for monotheists to say that they're right without seeming like bigots.

Everyone is right. No one is wrong. The god(s) you believe in is(are) the only one(s) that influence(s) you. But the Christian god is not my god.

There is no other explanation. Everybody is retarded to some extent, or they would be perfect beings. If there was a God, why would He make people have various levels of intelligence, thus resulting in different beliefs, instead of giving everybody an equal understanding?

i am a gay women living in a world of equality. my partner and i would ;like to have children in the future, but even at this early planning atge we have come up against prejudice. even my own mother is not happy about it. why is it they cant be happy for us? we can provide love and support for the child, is ths not enough? why are people so against it?

....but that they are separate and need to keep themselves separate? is it that if you live in a culture where the law the media the politics; everything basically is defferential towards or dictated to by religion, that people are squeezed into a sort of totalitarian certainty of belief, and never learn to see, let alone repect the validity of others faiths and cultures? does the brainwashing that religion is "the whole of life", and not "just a part of life", mean these peoples only identity is religion, and that they are terrified of losing it because their entire identity will then disintegrate?
this is the aspect of islam that worries me most: that religion interferes and seeks to assert its will in every area of life. people then dont really learn to question or to challenge but rather SUBMIT to a text 1500 years out of date.
i would not be surprised if this lead to blind faith, and an unthinking assumption of religious superiority and an inability to integrate with others.

If the person you have loved for a very long time with every part of your being suddenly became very controlling? Like not allowing you to learn, grow, or change in any way unless they agree with it. (yeah, most people would say leave) but what if you just felt there was nobody out there for you but this person? I ask in this section because the one I love is belittling me for learning about other religions. And we are actually separated at this point because of it.

If you believe God and don't make religion #1 priority, then you have to be dumb. I can't stand it when all these wannabee Christians don't think sin is a big deal and don't really do anything to please God. What don't you understand when the Bible says, "God is more important and bigger than anything." Who in their right mind would waste time doing anything that doesn't involve God if they believe in Him. Too bad I don't believe God, because if I did I would go to a religious college ASAP and try to please God as much as possible in my lifetime. Why would any intelligent Christian do otherwise?

Did you know that the Roman Catholic Church changed Sabbath around 300 A.D only because they didn't want to worship on the same day as the Jewish people? Jesus or the disciples didn’t change it. If you disagree then share what you know about this change. If I am wrong, even I need to learn, not by guesses, but by proof I can read, prefer a historical reference for proof.
