Which version of The Bible is the most accurate to God's word?

There are so many versions, I'm confused!

Since no one knows what "God's word" is, no one knows what version of the bible is accurate. They're all wrong about so many things it would take volumes to list them. And Bush doesn't kill for god, he kills so idiots like you can keep spouting your mouth without having to put your butt in the air 5 times a day as you face mecca.

The Darby, the Youngs Translation, the American Standard Version, the English Standard Version, and the New World Translation are very accurate Bibles.

For those translations, older manuscripts, scrolls, and codexes was available when they were being processed.

Many of the mistakes found in the Douay, the King James and other Clementine Bibles are corrected in those versions.

Old Testament:
In fact, the New World Translation is a scholarly work. In 1989, Professor Benjamin Kedar of Israel said:
"In my linguistic research in connection with the Hebrew Bible and translation, I often refer to the English edition as what is known as the New World Translation. In doing so, I find my feeling repeatedly confirmed that this kind of work reflects an honest endeavor to achieve an understanding of the text that is as accurate as possible. Giving evidence of a broad command of the original language, it renders the original words into a second language understandably without deviating unnecessarily from the specific structure of the Hebrew....Every statement of language allows for a certain latitude in interpreting or translating. So the linguistic solution in any given case may be open to debate. But I have never discovered in the New World Translation any biased intent to read something into the text that it does not contain."

New Testament:

While critical of some of its translation choices, BeDuhn called the New World Translation a “remarkably good” translation, “better by far” and “consistently better” than some of the others considered. Overall, concluded BeDuhn, the New World Translation “is one of the most accurate English translations of the New Testament currently available” and “the most accurate of the translations compared.”—Truth in Translation: Accuracy and Bias in English Translations of the New Testament.

King James version, the new age version have left out total verses and changed words need more info reply and I will forward the info to you. or you can do a web search on new age bible versions.

thats debatable. im not convinced about the "gods word" part. but i would say the most accurate would be the original bible. things change when they get translated and recopied. certain words replaced, words dont have the same meanings in different languages, sometimes there is no direct translation, there are only similar.

The original Hebrew and Greek text, if you can read it, is most accurate. Use a KJV (King James version) and a Strong's concordance if you can't read the original languages. :)

None, they are all written by man. Many of the stories are borrowed from Egyptian lore and Greek mythology - they just changed the names. They claim the King James version is closest to the original, but then there is the Nag Hammadi, which are the books the Catholic church decided didn't need to be part of the New Testament.

The original manuscripts are in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic, it too difficult to learn...so I go with one of the English versions.

Each version (see the exception below) of the Holy Bible has the Spirit of God's word. They were all written from the original manuscripts.

Pick one that is easy for you to read and understand. That's what's most important.

Try not to get caught up in the legalism of you must read this version or you will go south for eternity...

***Exception*** The New World Translation bible is NOT taken from the original manuscripts. Don't be deceived.

Just because there are religions out there that say they are Christian...doesn't mean they don't borrow our language to make theirs seem true.

Christianity follows the Holy Bible, period. We do not have any other Holy Books. Rev. 22:18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Matthew 7:15 [ The Tree and Its Fruit ] "Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep, but are really wolves that will tear you apart.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets will appear and will lead many people astray.

Matthew 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great miraculous signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God's chosen ones.

2 Peter 2:1 [ The Danger of False Teachers ] But there were also false prophets in Israel, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly teach their destructive heresies about God and even turn against their Master who bought them. Theirs will be a swift and terrible end.

1 John 4:1 [ Discerning False Prophets ] Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.

1 John 4:4 But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won your fight with these false prophets, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

KJV- Not only most accurate, but the only bible that martyars died for. I know my spelling might not be correct, but forgive me I am not good at spelling.
