I did a Bible study on a related topic about 6 months ago, and neglected to research this particular point.

Didn't God give Abraham(?) a 100-fold increase? Did this have to do with sowing and reaping. Thanks!

so sad. not sure if I should let my boys know. they are only 5 and I told them that someday we would meet him. they loved him and I am not sure if I should mention this to them. they love animals and espcially reptiles ,crocodiles and snakes. Steve we will miss you.

some of the answers i've read really disturbed me. i was nieve to the fact that such mean & evil people live in this world. i have not lived a sheltered life but lord i have had the wrong impression about human nature. i call myself a christian because the love, compassion, generosity etc. i feel is what i contemplate on. Its just in me and i thought it was the same for everyone. im not all good i make mistakes daily but atleast i want to be good. not evil

I am a practicing Lutheran being first a Christian and Second a Lutheran I feel that life would be completely meaning less without the Love and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and with his word I truly feel whole. I really believe that the Lutheran faith has it right, that we are saved by grace and that faith and hope bring us one step closer each and every day to the eternal kingdom of God the Father! Without these basic ideas, and the ideas presented in the book of Concord (Lutheran doctrine) I truly would be lost in the Night and would not be able to find my way home. We are saved by grace and grace alone, Lutherans really have a lot of hope. "Being a Lutheran is being a person who believes the truths of God's word, the Holy Bible as they are correctly explained and tought in the Book of Concord. To do this is to confess the Gospel of Jesus Christ...All doctrines should conform to the standards set forth. Whatever is contrary to them should be rejected and condemned..."

All 42 different types of radio-isotope dating would have to be false, radioactive decay would have to suddenly ignore the laws of natural physics and half-life calculations would have to be bad math.
Astronomical red-shift analysis would have to be false as well, as would all of Einstein's work related to the nature of light and time. The speed of light would have to be a total lie, because if the universe were only 6500 years old than we can't be seeing the 12-billion year-old light from the most distant quasars.
The following disciplines of science would be completely illegitemate, and all of it's practitioner's would have to be decietful charlatans;
1. Paleontology (the science of dinosaurs, who were apparently so contemperary that they rode on the ark)
2. Geology (the science that determined the 4.5 billion year age of the earth).
3. Astronomy (the science that studies the age of the universe)
Do you REALLY want your kids taught this crap? STOP voting republican!!

at one point in my life, i always think of what it would be like in perfect bliss and imagine certain people and things taking place. But then at another point in my life, things change and my idea of perfect happiness also changes, it never stays the same. So do you think that these ideas are only reflections of the greatest bliss to come- something we may not even know about yet?

can u plz stop telling me I am going to a fictional place for not having the same beliefs as you? It gets really old...Sry, the fear tactics don't work on me, I know kno1 knows what happens after death, quit pretending to know something you don't. The whole bible thing being the word of god is pretty lame too. If that is what 'god' based my entire knowledge of him off of when the most logical answer was tht it was written by a bunch of random people trying to gain control of people's minds, then I don't want to be around some1 who puts the eternal condition of my soul on a roll of the dice that decides wether I am paticularly gullable one day and on tht day some paticularly good brain-washer comes about and tells me to believe something found in a 2000 year old book, then I don't want to be around him after I die anyways. Not sure how this dream started ....and I dont want to tell you wants going on in my life ...becuase I want an honest answear like the way joseph was honest so here it goes.... A statue desended from the clouds and voice told me "This is the protection of the lord". .....then a few seconds later after the statue touched the ground I was taken to another place but both looked the same ....this time 2 statues desended , and a voice said as they touched the ground : "This is the punishment of the lord"....I have looked far and wide and have found the statues they are of those on easter island...what does this mean ? please help and hurry.

the idea of it. Some people say that it has no beginning and no end. Some say eternity is no time at all. It boggles my mind. I think of it when i think of the afterlife with God. Do we have memories when we are with God. If we do then there is time after all because when we think of past memories there will be a concept of time " past, present". If we have memories at this state of being then eternity seems a long unending time. Its feels you are trapped in existence "like in a complex fish bowl, everything is repetition throughout eternity.
