No, people aren't really evil for the simple fact that it's impossible to narrow the world down into such simple black VS white, good VS evil categories. Ask a serial killer if he thinks he's evil, and chances are, he'll deny it. Good and evil are subjective, depending on the viewpoint of every individual person on this planet, and as long as people have their own independent thoughts and minds, it'll stay that way. Certainly, there are *actions* that are *more* evil (if the word must be used) than others, but even the worst actions always have some small good side-effect. For example, if Hitler hadn't caused the Holocaust and killed 6-million Jews, the world might never have taken notice, and the nation of Israel might never have been realized. And again, if you were to ask Hitler what he thought of himself, he would've told you that he was doing the lord's work.
Bad things happen all the time, to be sure, but there are two sides to every coin. Just, sometimes it takes some digging to find the good side. The best anyone can do is try to live up to their own standards and be the best person they can be.

Evil exists in the world. Some people have no remorse, nor do they have a conscience. They are devoid of any true emotion or empathy for anyone except themselves. They would just as soon step on anyone to get whatever they wanted with no consideration for who they hurt. These are the sociopaths of our society. We usually hear about these people when there is a serial killer loose, however, not all sociopaths kill. Some are business men, politicians, etc. There is an epidemic of these kind of people lately. These people are not mentally ill, they really are just evil. Remember, we learn how to love by being loved, and without love we are nothing.

I think God has endowed us with conscience to discern between good and evil and has also gave us some guidelines through religion. Unfortunately we live in systems which seem to cultivate greed and addiction to superficiality...Hollywood entertainment and such. We end up choosing evil. Just look at what's happening regarding war. There's a large portion of supposedly Christian America who are supporting Bush and war-mongering in complete contradiction to the Gospel of Christ. Probably 99.999% of the time a lot of us go through life without conscious awareness of good and evil and our role in making the world a little healthier and more loving. We don't cultivate the seed of consciousness for good that I think is a part of our being, a gift from God. I think ignorance rather than nature is a lot more responsible for the evil we choose.

I think we all think and say evil things but when it comes down to actions we are, for the most part, not evil.
I frequently think evil thoughts, but what separates me from the sociopaths is that I would never in a million years carry out my evil thoughts.
I wouldn't base your opinion of human nature on posts here. remember that many use the internet as an alter ego.

Yes, there are evil people. What makes them evil isn't evil thoughts or evil actions, but evil in the essence of their beings. This isn't the politically correct, fluffy 'everybody is good at heart' answer that people want to hear, but it's the truth.
There are sadistic, inhumane evil people in this world. There are people who are better off dead. Again it isn't the PC answer, but it's true.

Nope. People are made in the image of God and reflect that image in varying degrees. That is where evil comes in. Our actions receive the judgement of good and evil. ALL are children of God. Some choose so much evil they depart from Him. Nevertheless, they carry in the the Ruah or Breath of God which is sacred.

Every human is tainted by evil. That is the curse of humanity. No matter how hard we try, we'll still stuff it up. Thats not to say that we are devoid of goodness, just that everyone is partially evil.

Evil men and women always attempt to gain prosperity through negative decisions. That’s why; they commit sins and break the law__ of course, all wrong. The book of their deeds is the record of their life___ and is nothing but evil and evilish (devilish) acts. These men and women will gain nothing but loss here and hereafter.
Righteous men and women always attempt to gain prosperity through positive decisions. That’s why they commit good deeds, follow all kind of laws of humanity and are not a hindrance for anyone. The book of their deeds is the record of their life___ by the will of the Lord___ good deeds. These men and women will gain prosperity by the will of the God__ Our Lord, here and hereafter.
Before creating the dark and the light, God created the sense of creation and the sense of creation lets us know that there is no creator of the AlMighty Lord. Never there was a creator-god, never there will be a creator-god but the Holy One, who created everything.
The great reason to tell so is__ that God never gave the creatures the knowledge of creation. Even today in the most modern times, no one can create the seed of anything. Even if all the creation gathers and wants to do it they will find themselves helpless and unable. Therefore, confess that your Lord the Great AlMighty God is only All Able and if you confess and believe that, then seek refuge in God. Ask forgiveness of your sins and pray to God for all kinds of your problems. You will find your Lord Merciful and Kind.
It was clay and water with which God created Carl Sagan, the seed of living beings and among living beings, God created man. With an independent self, to put him in the test and to see, how he responds independently to the Commandments of The God, The Lord Almighty.
It was a perfect creation, with a perfect free discretion. God blessed him with a female to raise tribes and generations and to spread them on the earth and to address them always through The Lords messengers. God ordained for him and for his dependents a day of judgement and created heavens of his own choice and hells against his choice. So, O the Mankind! Always choose Gods will to be safe, because between God and you there is no one to affect the judgement of your Lord.
Listen to the Lord! All the tribes, generations and people. God blessed you with freedom of choice and captured you from the top of your head after your creation. God ordained death to declare the end of the test. Nothing is like this but the test ordained for you by your God, The All Able Lord.
God created everything, the whole universe and then created ‘you’ and gave you the knowledge of good and bad. So do good, because God wants you to do good to meet the good of God.
