I have been around these religous people so much that I am beginning to realize my own stupidity. I have begun to become aware of a certain divine creator. How could I be so ignorant, of course the Flying Spaghetti Monster created the earth! I think we should consider saving our souls and stopping global warming.

We all know Apu Nahasapeemapetilon from the Simpsons. My question is does Apu mean something or is it just a hindu first name?

Also, are most indians aware of him? If you are, do you think he's an embarrassment to your culture or plugs it, or is just funny?

I recently went to a youth group gathering with one of my friends (last sunday) when he invited me. They did the standard routine: pray to god, sing some songs, etc etc. And I was quite enjoying the free chicken they were giving out when I started to realize that the only thing the pastor would say to the ceiling (I'm supposing it was directed at God) was "Lord, I know we're all sinners here and don't deserve your love........" and then go off about how we always ".....lose our way....." It got me thinking, why is it that Christians put themselves down so much? I know the whole Adam and Eve story, so no explaining to me WHY we're sinners, but why is it that Christians only look at the evil in us all? Sometimes I'm a pessimist too, but Jesus Christ (no pun intended)! Why not take into consideration the GOOD we do, as human beings? Is this some form of modesty Christians present to show off to God? I realize there's evil in the world, but there is good as well. Please explain.

This is a serious question. It's prompted by the apparent confusion about Abel and Cain's wives and the estimated 30% of child molestation that occurs by family members. So, I am wondering if this is a topic ever raised in sermons. Bashers, please just go to the next question.

I am from India. My home overlooks a community garden which we have all strived to maintain and keep beautiful. Nowadays it is becoming a haunt for unwanted visitors.
They are usual young adults and couples from nearby localities.
Most of the time we find them indulging in indecent behaviour. Even though the area might be well lit, it does not prove a deterrent. When asked politely to move away, they are often abusive and use profanity to people of all age groups (even kids and elders). Even when we just pass by, they use obscene language and make lewd remarks.

They also buy food from the popular eateries. And seem to treat the open areas and parks as tourist areas! Every day we find plastic covers, food wrappers and on some occasions – even bottles of alcohol, strewn around.

We are taking so much pain to keep our community clean and all the effort seems to be in vain.

Please help with your suggestions on how to tackle the issue.

in other words youre better off tossing a coin with each decsion you make because nobody anywhere, anytime can say for certain there is any truth to the bible.

It was observed that the Jews went to their death submissively and why was it they didn't react? Could this sort of submission be possible again? Granted, at first they didn't suspect anything, but wouldn't word get back via underground sources and if it did, why didn't they react? Why did the world let it go on as long as it did? And while we're on it, why did it take so long for the Berlin Wall to come down?

Blacks believe all the views on race as they do? I believe that if ALL blacks believe into all the stereotypes that whites said about them only then would whites have repect for blacks?

Like if all blacks watch BET or support NAACP then white people would resent the black race. But if all black people hated those organizations then white people would be their best friend.

So is this the case?

PLEASE do not respond saying if "blacks did this" or "didn't do that" because that just proves my point.

God certainly could have introduced us to Jesus before He sent us here ... surly, if there is life after death then there must have been a time of waiting before our phycical conception. The Breath of Life hs always been, and we are each blessed with it. What do you think?
