It doesn't hurt when the needle is put in and it is very quick. You just feel pressure while your tongue is clamped. Afterwards, your tongue will swell up and you have to suck on ice every 2-3 minutes and take Advil. It takes about a week for the swelling to go down. You always have to rinse with Listerine after everything you eat and drink to avoid infection. Minutes after you get it done, you get a big adrenaline rush and you will be so excited that you did it. When all the swelling is down and it is healed, you have to get the post changed to a shorter one. Then it is much more comfortable. Make sure you go to a senior piercer. Go for it!!

Sound such as you have reason to be afflicted. Your jaw shouldn't harm. How does the section look? How plenty Listerine have you ever been utilising? What styles of issues have you ever been ingesting? no count if it rather is discolored it would desire to be an infection. in case you have been going overboard on the Listerine, you're transforming into led to an imbalance on your mouth. in case you have eaten salty or relatively spiced meals you're transforming into disappointed the healing technique. i could call a doctor, this could be everyday given the situations even though it would desire to not, extra suited to be secure than sorry. I even have numerous piercings and that i don't mess with infections. Your tooth and gums shouldn't harm, not on a similar time as much as they do once you get a dental cleansing, your jaw isn't open that long for a tongue piercing. try sorbet or sherbert extremely than ice cream, the dairy could be hurting issues. don't be worried approximately going to a doctor, particular they might worry you somewhat for it yet permit the rfile understand which you fairly prefer to appreciate the information approximately what is going on, and what you may desire to do, not what they want you to do.

My tongue hurt for about 3 days. I got the "Slush Puppy" ice and sucked on that tho keep the swelling down. It was well worth the aggravation! It has been about a month and unless I drink something really cold or really hot I don't even know it it there.

Nope, no pain at all. You are probably brain dead already for wanting a hole in your tongue. The infection will just cap it even more. But no pain, none at all. Just stick out your tongue, put it on the counter top, I'll drive this rusty ten-penny nail right on through. Simple, painless. Particularly if I glance the hammer off your forehead.

pain for two days but having a foreign thing in your mouth is more bothersome. you might accidentally bite your tongue a few times. as another poster metioned, you tend to dribble more and speak a bit funny.

afterwords is not that bad. if you can handle 1/2 a second of sharp pain during the piercing then you'll be fine.

U cant eat properly for 1-2 weeks.
My advice: Dont do it. The cool factor is not worth the pain.
Try nipples instead.
