like when we say..."In Jesus name we pray...." I know that he says 'Give all glory to God.....and Pray to the Father" but does he ever say that he would like for us to pray to him?

Should I buy a refrigerator or an orthopedic mattress, my back hurts a lot, or a fridge?
but i always eat out ,so i don't have anything to put on it. i have a water dispenser with a hot and cold. My back hurts a lot cause the foam on my bed is worn out. But i think anybody would laugh if they found out i have no fridge, what do you think?
'm in a dilemma, i recently moved in my own pad, and i plan to buy certain things as my budget will permit it, one by one.

The world has reached the point where we are extracting as much oil at once as possible. This is called peak oil production. Now we will able to produce only LESS oil than say, yesterday. This has everything to do with how much oil is in the earth not how efficient we are at extraction. As we increase our population and consumption we require more and more oil but will only recieve less and less. EVERYTHING we have in our homes, buildings, parks, every little thing manufactured is available because of oil. As oil runs out we won't be able to make enough food, transportation, electricity, EVERYTHING. We need to change how we live and operate as individuals AND as societies. This site and the books and videos have a lot of information and interesting insight. You can find most of these items at your public library or university libraries....

Would it be wrong for them to judge you???

If people get upset about people telling them their going to hell, shouldn't they also get upset if someone told them they were going to heaven??? Isn't that also judging??

This is not intended to be offensive, so please don't read it that way. I'm just curious about perspectives.

I've read many answers by Christian people who claim to be "non-denominational", or they say they don't belong to any church. Mostly this terminology comes from people who believe in Jesus Christ and his teachings. Isn't this just a sign of an unwillingness to commit to any particular code or standard of living?

Why not go all the way? Why not dive in head first and completely immerse yourself in a belief system?

In Revelations 3:15-16 it says:

"I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."

What do you think?

Hasn't it always been in the past that, Christian Missionaries go into a country to Win The Hearts and Minds of the people and doing all of the school construction and painting? All the while, teaching the people the Christian Religion?

A lot of little kids gave up their lunch money to "Help The Missionaries," back when I was in school. I've watched thousands of Infomercials on TV since the 60's and again today about the work of Missionaries and wanting donations. If Blessings grow ... where is all that lunch money we gave you? ... and donations from all the people who felt "Touched and Inspired" to give, sometimes till it hurt?

Do you agree that, Troops are Military ... Christians are supposed to be painting?

And why does it always seem to be the homosexual people doing that out in public? I dont want to see anyone swap spit when Im eating my lunch. Maybe its just the young and in lust ones, but I dont think I see as many hetros doing this-or maybe I dont notice...gay kissing stands out because it's different? Hmmm... Just an observation, not bashing anyone-hey-'some of my best friends are gay'! (no, really...they are.)

i am almost 30, i have a so-called professional job, and i am a mother.
i used to have face piercings, but i took them all out.
but damn it's so hard to act like i am not a social deviant.
should i keep up the professional act full time, go back to piercings and streaked hair, or is there some other way i can feed my need outside of work hours??

I am 11 years old. I have a sister that is 14 years old. I dont have any friends and I dont have anyone to talk to. My sister is the princess. I am thrown around, litterally! my dad is violent and he is in jail for abuse. I met my mom for the first time in 10 years! I met her half brother who lives in montana and he is 12. I get along with him really good. I can talk to him, he understands me and he thinks the same exact way I do. And finally out of my whole life I meet someone who cares. he feels like my best friend and he is the ONLY one. I may never talk to someone like this again, even though he is my uncle. my sister tells me to stay away from him and she makes bad choices. she smokes shes preganet and she has been in jail 3 times and shes 14. if i let my uncle go I will be alone forever and I will be pushed asidew ith no dreams and nothing to look forward to. what should I do? stay in contact or forget my dumb sister?
