I think most gay people do not ''chose'' to be gay at a young age. Gay finds them! LOL ... cant help who theyre attracted to I guess. Especially men, I know they dont chose it because being a man means you face serious pressure to be masculine so when a man says he is gay he is and couldnt help it. And Im sure many guys dont say theyre bisexual for attention like girls do because they'd get made fun of for it. BUT I do think some girls say they are for attention from guys because boys/men like the girl girl thing.
hope I helped :)

Kids don't WANT to be gay at such a young age! They're gay when they are, regardless of what age they are. I think its great that it is becoming more socially acceptable for kids to come out of the closet at younger ages. I hope it's an indication that the next generation will be more tolerant of those who are different. When I was 12 and realized I was gay, (I'm 33 now), I wouldn't have dared to come out, or I would have been beaten regularly.

actually nothing is wrong, everything is actually going right in this area, now that there is not as much as discrimination now a days to be gay(still needs lots of improvment), much more people at a young age get to find themselves much sooner than back then when people realize that there gay at 30 or 40 cause they were brainwashed into thinking they have to fall in the norms of society to be a good person, and when they finally do what they want to do and then they are really happy, they feel like they missed out cause they didn't search themselves sooner

Probably due to indoctrination in public schools. Many schools have GLBT clubs, Gay/Straight Alliance, etc. Your tax dollars hard at work. Should kids be experimenting with this sort of sexual behavior? No. They go to school to get an academic education, not to screw around.

Anyways, regarding "sex" (gender) well there are two, male, and female. I'm sure you know the difference between the two. ;)

Why would anyone choose to be part of a group that has less rights and more ridicule then everyone else? There has always been gay youth, it is just now that they are more able to be out because it is becoming more and more understood.

It's not that they WANT to be gay, it's that they're figuring out that they ARE gay at an earlier age. Just as others are FINDING out they're straight at an earlier age.
Thus the higher teenage pregnancy rates.

Finding out one's sexuality in general is happening at an earlier age, regardless of what sexuality that may be.

I think society today is a little bit more open to young people coming out at an early age. I also think that young people need to link themselves to a group to feet they have an identity during adolescence. Personally, I am with you, I think overall, to come out during a particularly trying time like high school is a very big mistake. What if they are not sure?

Because they don't consider it right to "control" their feelings... when a 15-year-old boy loses his virginity to the girl next door, his dad is so proud... that's normal... but when a 15-year-old boy loses his virginity to the boy next door, it's considered sick. does anyone see the balance there? dude, stop thinking about young kids having sex, perv, and get a hobby.
