The world has reached the point where we are extracting as much oil at once as possible. This is called peak oil production. Now we will able to produce only LESS oil than say, yesterday. This has everything to do with how much oil is in the earth not how efficient we are at extraction. As we increase our population and consumption we require more and more oil but will only recieve less and less. EVERYTHING we have in our homes, buildings, parks, every little thing manufactured is available because of oil. As oil runs out we won't be able to make enough food, transportation, electricity, EVERYTHING. We need to change how we live and operate as individuals AND as societies. This site and the books and videos have a lot of information and interesting insight. You can find most of these items at your public library or university libraries....

First, Oil is very, very difficult to get out of sands, the price of oil has everything to do with how much can be produced, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!! The world consums 88 million barrels a day. We only have about 300 billion left in the earth. Do the math. Also, look at the information that is hugely CITED material.

1. Price is the only thing that works.
2. Nobody would be conserving if gas was $1 a gallon REGARDLESS of the shortage.

It may be advisable for you to read the new papers or listen to the news. What has been taking place in the last year (re: oil exploration) would really astound you.. Don't need to look any further than the new findings in the gulf, Russia, prehaps even the pipeline planned to go across afghanistan.. There are new finds all over the world.. Canada's Alberta province has a tremendous boom going at the present. They are having trouble finding sufficient numbers of workers to handle what is taking place there.

Wake up and find out where you are getting your erroneous information.

MYTH: We are running out of oil fast.
TRUTH: Not so fast!
If the price of a barrel of oil stays high, lots of entrepreneurs will scramble for ways to supply cheaper energy. They'll come up with alternative energy sources or better ways to suck oil out of the ground. At fifty dollars a barrel, it's even profitable to recover oil that's stuck in the tar sands in Alberta, Canada. Peter Huber and Mark Mills point out in their book "The Bottomless Well" that those tar sands alone contain enough oil to meet our needs for a hundred years.

We should educate people for saving our energy by :
1)giving license for making or importing the mos efficient fuel consumption of vehicles
2)making advertisement how to use in efficient manner of use ge of natural resources such as fuel and electricity
3)making a compulsary testing all vehicles once a year for fuel consumptionand give no license to uneconomy vehicles
4)seeking the alternative fuel other energy resources than natural crude oil
5)making researches how to make machine with the top economy in oil consumption

In terms of real cost, solar energy requires silicon collectors which can be produced out of sand.... Microwave technology can be used to quickly and efficiently heat water in the home...Windmills can be used to generate electricity....methane can be used for household and commercial uses...fluorescent bulbs can be used in homes and offices..Energy efficient materials can be used to heat homes.....yet...thes technologies are underutilized, mostly expensive to get.....why???? Hydrogen technology where hydrogen is synthesized from water would give us an endless supply of water. The space station recycles and purifies water for months. We have tons of information on renewable energy and do not have to depend on oil. Go figure....

We can make it sooooo EXPEN$IVE for them.. that they'll be forced to look into alternative fuels.
Look at Europe.. fuel costs are so expensive.. people drive tiny Smart Cars.
Unless there is a real Need.. people will never consider Solutions.

gasoline can be made from coal -- there's plenty of coal left unmined, and with the price of oil that might be a good solution

also, returning kids to their neighborhood schools and scrapping most of the school buses would save tons of oil.
