Going to hell or heaven will only come once you are dead. But I know one thing for sure...if I am the judge for the persons of this planet...it would be very very difficult for me (and anybody) to judge them and send them to hell of heaven. Because all of us have done good in our lives and sometimes we have been bad to certain persons.
Your or my image to others varies from person to person. A person obliged to me, friend of mine will think that I'm a good person...and thus am booked for heaven. Whereas a person jealous or hostile to me will charter me to the hell....
In short I'd not be offended, because I know very well that it's not possible for a human being to judge another perfectly.

No, there is nothing negative about heaven or being such a good person!
As for judging, I hardly think that this qualifies. It can be more of a polite compliment, since nobody on earth can determine or qualifies to determine our destiny after death.
It is a high compliment in every sense of the word. If they could only speak it loud enough to let Him hear...

You know what offends me about that line of questioning..... ist that i can be the best person in the world.... (volunteer and donate to charity, work in a childrens hospital as a clown to cheer the kids up, let my elderly parents live with me and my husband, never raise my voice at my kids let alone my hand, help strangers in need, always say please and thank you, heck you name it and its good and i do it, even kiss a nun when i see one) and if i do not ask the lord into my heart and worship him then according to you people i would still be worthy to burn in hell! But just because when you were 13 you were "saved" and say you were baptized and all that jazz and you attend church every other sunday to ask "forgivness" for your sins you can be the biggest asshole on the planet and you still would have that spot up in heaven reserved for you that rightfully should go to a much better person worthy of it like me.

There are two requirements that must be met in order to go to heaven on your own merits:
(1) You must be free of original sin. We all get this from our fathers. Only men pass the spiritual seed, so the solution to that is to be born of a virgin. If you are not virgin born then you are disqualified.
(2) If you are virgin born, then you escape original sin, and are therefore eligible to try to live a perfect life. If you are able to live a perfect life without the slightest violation of any of the Levitical Old Testament laws in addition to being virgin born, then you can go to heaven on your own merits.
If you cannot meet both requirements then you are under the wrath of God and will plunge immediately into hell when you die.
Or, you can let someone who has met both of the above requirements die in your place. That's what we Christians have done, since none of us are virgin born and none of us can live a perfect life.

I've been told that I ought to go to heaven on many occasions.
But I personally doubt I'll have the opportunity, since I'm not perfect and I have my own fair share of screw-ups in my past.
It doesn't bother me, either way if some condecending extremist says one thing or another. They have a right to their own opinion. They don't have the authority to judge me, their threats are as hollow and meaningless as their power to back their words.

I would not be offended but God would be! He would be offended because it would be a lie that can lead someone into eternal separation from God, hell. God's Word, the Bible, says that no one can be good enough to make it into Heaven, if they could, then Jesus died for nothing. We know that Jesus did not die for nothing! No one deserves Heaven, we are all sinners in need of a Savior. Jesus paid the price of our sins by dying in our place. Salvation is a free gift offered to everyone.

In a way, yes. If someone thought I could get myself into heaven by being a good person, then that undermines the entire purpose of my faith. So in a way, yes. It wouldn't necessarily "offend" me, but I would not receive that and would immediately reject and then correct the notion.

Both are silly to me.
It's silly to me how somone can say that they are goin to heaven. How can one decided for themselves that they're going to heaven? Jesus said this and Jesus said that, but what if in the end... Jesus tells you "You didn't understand correctly. You are not perfect for perfect's sake. You're perfect because your efforts and my grace made you that way... However.. Since you thought you were perfect all your life... and didn't strive to better yourself... you're still worthless and not worthy to enter Heaven."
Does that person go to hell? Hahahah This whole heaven Hell thing is so retarded.
Can somone describe heaven? can somone describe hell?

Nope! I would be flattered.
Not really -- they judged me as good.
That would hardly be them taking the place of The God.
People should NOT be upset when told they are going to hell....that is only one persons OPINION!
