No? Good. Then please go read these three books:

1) "The Age of Reason" by Thomas Paine.
2) "The Mythmaker" by Hyam Maccoby.
3) "The Jesus Mysteries" by Timothy Freke & Peter Gandy.

Then, and only then, come here and try to be a Junior Evangelist. Right now you don't know what you're talking about!

I've read the voluminous Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible. Even that is more honest & forthright than the twaddle you get taught at Sunday School or VBS.

And that is why west is doing so much propoganda against Islam. On Yahoo answer I have found that many people who talk hatered agaist Muslims actualy do not know about Islam at all. They gather knowledge from internet giving them wrong concepts about Islam. If some one fear that if people come to know the truth only then they propogate the negative image. One of my friend who was deadly against Islam due to the negative propoganda is now a Muslim after he himself search for the truth. I invite all those who hate Islam please read yourself about the truth and then give the judgement.

Did you know that only one Church can claim to be founded by Christ himself? and that is the Orthodox Church which stands in unbroken succession to the early church of the apostles? It has taught the same thing for nearly 2000 years unlike the other so-called churches who cannot even legitimately clain descent from the Apostles.

Please take some time and read the Bible. It's crazy! Definitely not for children, though. It's kind of an exercise in critical thinking (and violent, and sexual). I think the point you are supposed to get is that even though this Lord character professes to be really good, he is really bad. Neat lesson and examples, I recommend!

Is it "Mother Nature?" Isn't a selection a choice of an intelligence that has a will to choose? Even the terminology of evolution speaks of a higher power! Maybe you should call it ACCIDENTAL MUTATION THAT TURNED OUT BETTER WHICH IS EXTREMELY RARE BUT IT HAPPENED. Then again I guess that wouldn't work because accidents and mutations usually result in BAD consequences.

I'm sure there are plenty of Jesus devotees here dying to help you out.

And this is a much better method because it will sidestep the overhead of the charitable organizations.

If you could just leave a P.O. Box or other address for Christians to send the check, that would really them fulfill God's will to feed and clothe you.

* I remember feeling that way when my dad was killed by a passing car one evening. I had just spoken to him a few moments before he left the house but, I didn't realize it would be the last time I would ever speak to him. Although I had family and loved ones around...I just felt so isolated and empty.......

I see many people giving out excuses saying that the reason why they don't have respect for Christians and their faith is because they force their religions on them. I recommend that you stay away from them and don't look for them if it's bothering you too much.

I belong to a protestant church. I remember that when I lived in my old house, I lived in a neighborhood open for everyone. A bunch of religious people of certain church different from mine would come to my house, to stand in front of my fence and say "Good Afternoon, Is anybody homeeeeee". I would hide and stay in silence because I knew what to expect from them. I know their doctrines and what they want me to believe and I disagree. I feel comfortable with that I believe and I don't feel like changing my current believes about God. I don't have anything against those people, I feel that they have the right to believe in what they believe, but I am simply busy and don't want to waste my time.

How did animals evolve that must have had all of their biological characteristics in place immediately, or else they would have died off immediately - ie: the horse's hooves, the giraffe's neck, and the hummingbird's metabolism? They would have required instantaneous evolution in many physical structures within their body at the same time to have survived. People who believe in evolution just don't want to accept the obvious facts staring them in the face.

I mean, where does the US get off thinking that it has a special role to play in God's plan?
Be aware before you answer I am an American and an Eastern Orthodox Christian, but I am profoundly anti-nationalistic as I find it contrary to True Christianity.

Why is it organized? Doesn't organized mean a heirarchial system in some regards, and does a heirarchial system put individual power in the hands of other's. Is it a way to give away your right to be responsible? Do some people truly need organized religion because of what they are already indoctrined into thinking, and could never see life without it?

Some stomp their feet at the notion that our Founding Fathers were Christians...they tell us that they were no where near Christians..

until we talk about slavery from that time..

Suddenly the Founders are Right-Wing Christians
who enslaved the Africans and allowed this crime to go on legally from 1776-1865...some have even gone as far as calling John Brown a liberal hero.

Which is it?

my guess they'll chose both

I recently saw on an American news network that Kit Kat candy bars are supposedly a "huge" part of daily life/culture in the UK, almost as much as "tea time" I had no idea. How true is this really?

Side note, the report also explained how the different varieties of the Kit Kat have largely been rejected by British consumers, while they seem fairly popular here in the U.S.

my Dad is on an anti-depressant called Profanil which I don't think is from this country. I'm really worried because his behavior has changed radically and I think his life could be in danger. Can anyone that speaks German translate this text for me... it's the only thing I can find on this drug and the internet translations have failed so far to give me a clue. PLEASE HELP if you can! thank you
