It doesn't state it exactly that way that I know of.

John 14:6 says Jesus is the only way to Heaven. If you believe on Jesus you will become His disciple. But I don't think it is stated exactly as you've requested.

I dont really know if it does or if it doesnt, and I wouldn't argue scriptures with you any way !
But, if thats what you really think,( and your not just putting a general question out there to get people thinking or challenging people on their faith), then you are missing the point !
Being a "disciple" only comes from a genuine heart of wanting to serve the Lord. And salvation or being saved or getting to Heaven are different in some ways !

Hi Picard,

Actually, Jesus only established one criteria for entering the Kingdom of God. You must possess God's Spirit. If the Spirit of God is not dwelling in your heart, you shall never see the Kingdom. No membership, ritual, title, or religion, will take the place of the Living Spirit. The scriptures say, that there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth on that day. It won't be the sinners who are crying, since they know what they have coming. It will be all the people who were deceived into believing that a prayer and a bath, would establish them in God's Kingdom. If He does not know you, you shall not enter. The one and only way to know Him, is to have Him living in your heart. No exceptions. A true disciple of Jesus, will have the Living Spirit of God within them. If you haven't got the Spirit, you are not a disciple of Jesus, and won't keep His commands.

I can't give you that exact word, but I can give you verses teaching that.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

I wouldn't get hung up on the word 'disciple' it is basically just used as a common translation of the original texts that means follower.
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6)
"He who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him" (John 3:36).
"For there is on God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).
"And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life" (1 John 5:11-12).

John 12:25-26
25 "He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. 26 "If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

The above verse is a good example of being a disciple of Jesus. We are to serve, follow, and obey Him. Then God will honor us, and give us eternal life with Him.
