I recently saw on an American news network that Kit Kat candy bars are supposedly a "huge" part of daily life/culture in the UK, almost as much as "tea time" I had no idea. How true is this really?

Side note, the report also explained how the different varieties of the Kit Kat have largely been rejected by British consumers, while they seem fairly popular here in the U.S.

I think that the reporter was making the story up.

Some people eat them others don't.

I cannot think of any single food item that would be a "huge" part of daily life here in the UK

'Have a break have a kitkat' personally they're not my favourite chocolate but came really handy for kids school breaks! We eat a lot of chocolates and kitkats are pretty popular! Personally i never took to the new ones! I preferred the old ones but then ... When it comes to chocolate bars ... My favourite has to Fruits and nuts (Cadbury's) Don't know if you have them in the States!
