Some of what you are saying is accurate but not all is....Just because you say that this church has taught the same thing for so many years and maybe it has...Does it line up with what is in the Bible, because there is only one truth my friend. In the book of revelation Jesus talks about the seven churches and there role and responsibilities but first he must be the Lord of our life and we must want to live for him as he died for us.

The first thing that you are forgetting is that Jesus sent the apostles out not in a group of 12.
At any rate, right away, Paul has to deal with the very issue you write about. Read the book of Acts. Paul is upset with the fact that in the Corinthian Church the people are starting to divide themselves as to who they are going to follow.
Paul writes and states DO NO DO THIS. You are followers of CHrist, not of Apollos, or of Paul.
ALas the people still divided themselves, so you see, you have division right from the start.
Apollos and Paul taught the exact same thing, to follow Jesus Christ, but people and human nature will follow a leader that they most bond with.
The church I attend believes Pauls statement, and we follow the bible and Jesus Christ. Founder of our CHurch. The original and only Corner stone Jesus Christ.

Acutually you've got a couple of rivals.
For example I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints which also claims to be founded by Jesus Christ via a restoration. We have 12 apostles now and everything.
I don't want to bash on your religion or anything, just letting you know, there are probably other religions out there too with some legitimate claims.
best wishes

That is interesting information about the churches. The little church I attend was founded by local believers. They felt the need to have aBible based church in the community and started meeting about 25 years ago. It has grown from that . We have an awesome pastor who is also the school repairman and a very strong christian he is awesome. He refuses to teach to tickle anyones ears and goes straight from the Bible. You can feel the Love and spirirt of the Lord by walking into this church. We are truly a body of believers that await the return of the bridegroom. IOne other thing tha tI truly love about our little church is that all are welcome and no one has to dress fancy for alot f us do not have that type of clothing.Children are a special asset in ur church, parents can keep their children with them from the very young to the older and if the young ones cry it is okay no ome has a problem with it. I have bee i churches when my children were little that I got dirty looks if my children fussed and was asked to take them to the nursery. I prefer my church now. I would that all could find such an awesome church .

Except for the prophesied apostacy from truth that was taught in the New Testament where it clearly states that no church would have the truth for along time and a restoration would happen. So I guess that sorta rules out your claim of unbroken succession of the truth, eh? (2 Thes. 2:3)
Only one church claims to be the restored truth of the ancient church.

I belong to the Malankara Indian Orthodox Church, founded by Christ and spread by the apostles. St. Thomas founded our church in India. There is definite proof for that.

If the Orthodox church split with the Catholic church how can you claim legitimacy for one over the other? They can both be traced back to a single church and thus have the same origins.

I attend a non-denominational church, but do you not know that the church is not a building? It is the believers in Jesus Christ.
"...His body, which is the church..." (Colossians 1:24)
"He is also head of the body, the church" (Colossians 1:18)
I am sure there are people saved in all of the "churches" of different denomination, for we are all part of the same body.

hmmm--it doesn't always line up to the Bible though, and it has taught the same thing for 6000 years. I go to a church that doctrinally claims John Wesley's teachings, but who cares about descent from the disciples as long as we are following the Bible.
