I am also a Christian, but I am not totally clear on how grace and mercy differ.

Thank you, and God bless.

My friend is a Mormon and she invited me to this ultiment frisbee game at her church. I'm a catholic and I asked my dad and he is barely letting me go to it. This saturday is a dance thing at her church and they play old music like 'Mascarina(something like that)' and the 'electric slide' and stuff like that. I know my dad is going to say no and say that i'm gonna sooner or later slip into there religion. Is it really THAT bad that I go to another religion's dance? Besides i'm going to church every sunday. Would it be a sin? Please help me. If not please tell me how I should explain this to my dad.

I'm 72 years old and I have earned the God given right to express my opinion. Not to mention the fact that I'm a veteran and fought and risked my life to protect these freedoms for God and my country.

Some of you by your pictures look like you're about 12 years old and act even younger. I'm not very good at taking flak from punks. If I contacted your parents they'd take a belt to your backside.

And another thing. Sodomites don't follow the word of God, so why should they be allowed to have a say in the religion section?

I support banning punks and sodomites from the religion and spirituality section. Do you?

All these war, the religious bigotry the hatred, the distrust, the violence...He gave man free will and he is everyone, isn't that what the Libel says, but then sits back and watches rapes murders, war crimes as if they are just a cartoon.

To me, considering the Libel as the good book but then looking at the world without god shaped rose tinited glasses on is oxymoronic and hypocritical as is humanly possible

No wonder the baby Jesus hasn't appeared the second time around, he would get murdered by Christians before he could get a (good) word out...

No bible quote please...use your own words

Whenever a large natural disaster occurs (Hurrican Katrina, earthquake, tsunami in the Indian Ocean) you hear media type preachers claiming the disaster came from God as a punishment.

God created humans but he has no control over them. He even had to send his son to convince humans they needed to come into his "flock". God created animals and placed them into the domain and care of human. One can assert God doesn't control the animals if he needed humans to care for them. God created nature and deducing from his other creations he probably doesn't control Nature either. Does God really control and inflict natural disasters?

They sell eternal life on faith, No proof!

Don’t extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof?

Is that why they want you children ASAP to build a foundation for the lie in order to make the sale and collect the $$ for a life time?

Those who have faith teach our children this as well, we all teach our children our values if you will. How many of you teach, and by this I mean by example, your children to love and to care about ALL others? If the home is the child's first school room what are they learning?

My understanding of the tale is that God caught all the people building a tower so that they could climb to Heaven. He didn't approve, and smashed it down. To prevent a repeat, he split the land apart, and gave each set of people a different language.

Now, what that tells me, is that God is against globalised co-operation. Therefore, are Christians allowed to learn foreign languages, or even use Yahoo Answers?

Yes God is real.
And he will provide all your needs if you accept him as your personal savior.
If you need answers go to God and ask him and he will give you answers through his word(the Holy Bible). I do it all the time . Why don't you try it, you've tried everything else. Now you need to do what will work God.
God told me to tell you too "TAKE BACK THE APPLE"
I,m starting a organization to help women get a personal relationship with God.
God has been putting me through a test . I put my faith (unwavering ) in him and he brought me out and gave me a assignment, too tell women to ,(TAKE BACK THE APPLE). I just wanted to tell you what ever it is you need "Gods Got IT"! and he can fix it if you believe. keep the faith.
God has great things a head for you if you obey his will.
