its different for everyone.

You would have to be assessed both physically and mentally before you would have any accurate idea.

plus if you are a teenager and still developing you may have to wait to go through puberty before the complete transformation can be done. this is not always the case though.

in the meantime, the more counselling you have the better it is for you for obvious support reasons....... but psychologists and doctors will look favorably on this behavior. It shows you are actively trying to find help and it also shows a degree of self knowledge....... basically that you know what you want.

the idea of counselling is not necessarily to change your mind by the by......... mainly for support and to fully explain the mental challenges you face during the process.

i can't tell you exactly how long it will take you personally........ but start thinking about it in terms of years rather than months.

best of luck

Most of the time, it takes years. In countries like Singapore, you need to go on hormone pills for about a year and at the same time undergo counselling.
Only when you are really sure that you would want to become a girl then you can go for the operations for a sex change.
Even the operations are normally spread out. There is 3 main areas that you have to op on.
1. Privates
2. Breast
3. Adam apple
Even so, you will need to go on female hormone pills for life.
Please give it serious thoughts.

How old are you?
Have you talked this over with a real person?
You have to find a shrink who specializes in transgendered people - there is counseling and cross dressing for 2 full years.
You have to take hormones (for a long time) to change your body image.
You may have to spend $50,000 (or more!)to do a breast augmentation, remove your penis and balls, and have a fully functioning vagina created. There is also major hair removal and shaving of the adams apple.
Still sound like a joke?

I don't think this is a case of being transgendered unless you have very little understanding of it. If you are transgendered you are a girl except for you body. It depends on how old you are and if you will live as a female for a year before getting treatment. If you are in fact confused and lacking knowledge you can join a TG group.

i know a guy who has always thought he was supposed to be a girl in this life. for the past year he's been taking hormones and his boobies are starting to grow in. He never went through puberty and his face is already starting to look really girly. Its going to take a couple of years of hormone treatment and then once you think your ready you go under the knife to get you weeny chopped off. I'm not huge on the specifics but this is just what i saw happen with this guy.

This is called: Sex Reassignment Surgury:

Before any physical change can take place there are years of counseling involved, followed by numerous surgeries (which cost a great deal of money). This is not a procedure or consideration to be taken lightly.

You are up against a hard lot. What you are is at birth and it is very hard to change that.
