It probably has a lot to do with the demands of unrehearsed choral speaking. Speaking in synch with others is a bit of an acquired skill set. So adding both 'colour' and expression is not easy in such circumstances unless we rehearse. So what you are mostly noticing, I suspect, is the lowest common denominator of voices trying to speak together.
When we sing together there is tune and rhythm to keep us co-ordinated. When speaking we don't have these cues so the easiest thing to do is to go for a very bland and neutral tone and rhythm. Over time, of course, this gets reinforced and so becomes the normal and accepted way to do it.
If you fancy changing it, it will probably require both a way of saying it together that could be offered as an alternative and also a chance to learn to do that together...

Not me. I am currently reading a book called "The Creed" and it is a great explanation of how the Creeds came about and what they are for. Actually, I learned to appreciate the Apostles Creed more after dealing with some people who were involved in a cult, it gave me a new appreciation of how the Creed kept me from falling for the same heresy.

I can say the Lord's prayer and the Creed in the same monotone waxing voice, but I can't sing hymms. I can't carry a tune and my friends have actually begged me not to sing in the car!

humorous you convey uo this particular scripture, as i become purely examining it. i have revealed this quote on Y!A previously, so why no longer positioned up it back. "If following the Nicene Creed, which become set forth with the aid of the Emperor Constantine, no longer a guy of God, is the in hardship-free words determining component for being Christian, then i wager we are no longer Christians. in spite of the undeniable fact that the top of our church is Jesus Christ, and if the definition of a Christian is someone who believes in Jesus Christ, then affirming that we are no longer Christians is purely ignorant." i think it turned right into a guy who set forth the Nicene Creed (Roman Emperor Constantine to call one and he become no longer inevitably a guy of God), so, in case you believe that following the Nicene Creed makes you Christian then you actually are following a guy Yep, human beings conserving affirming that Script. in Revelations says no longer to operate to the Bible. all of us can interpert the Bible in additional than a number of diverse thoughts. who's to say one way is ideal and the different is misguided? ought to John were affirming no longer to operate to Revelation? become Relelavtion the perfect e book written contained in the Bible or become the e book purely certain and the proper of the Bible? Regardless, one can't deny the information that many metallic plates were stumbled on for the length of the international made from such issues as brass, gold, silver, bronze.... So does the above script. make a tremendous variety of those anceint writings fake? in case you answer certain, i ought to say you're being particularly close-minded and ignorant to say the least. in case you answer no, then whats incorrect with the e book of Mormon? It takes faith to believe and some human beings are purely too scared to achieve out to the unknown, misunderstood; to achieve out for the "iron rod".

If you are that bored in your church I suggest you find another one.
P.S. Monotone is a form of respect..What chaos would occur if some people screamed it out others sung it out others acted it out.

They are monotone because many of them are lukewarm and really don't know what they are saying. If Catholics took their faith just a little more to heart, we might not be as subjected to the abuse we take on such a regular basis by other Christian denominations who love to bash us.
