He said, "F*** Jews. They are the one causing all the wars in the world. Are you a Jew?" to the police officer. If he had insulted Christians or Muslims or some other group, would he have landed in hot water and had to do a grovelling apology?

My friend has becomea devout christian. He used to be cool and enjoy watching movies, going to the pub and socialising, going on holiday, listening to music and all the normal stuff. Now all he does is pray indoors and when he does come out to socialise he's a different person. He used to be laid back with a good sense of humour but now he's an embarassment. He wears T-shirts with I love god and pictures of jesus and stuff on them, and he never talks about anything without relating it to what jesus would've done. The other day one of his best friends tried to push him in front of a lorry. I can't be bothered with him anymore to be honest but some people really have it in for him, should I shake the lord out of him?

If you force everyone to dress and behave a certain way, then how can you tell the real from the false?
How can you tell who is really sincere, and those who are just going thru the motions?

Anyone can dress modestly.
Anyone can pray and seem holy and pious.
But how do you know who is a true believer and an unbeliever...if you force everyone to do the same thing?

You know, on paper. Why did folks years later have to do the writing for him? Why didn't he just set things straight while he was here by writing things out clearly? Even one time would have been sufficient.

This is mainly for the atheists on Yahoo. I am seriously curious, was there a particular incident that made you stop believing in your religion? If not, why did you distance yourself, if indeed you were ever part of an organized religion?

I'm not really Christian, I don't believe in God, but I celebrate Christmas anyway, because I think Jesus is cool. Is that weird?

In the course of our daily lifes as non-Christians, we sometimes have to make moral decisions.

What guides you in making your moral decisions.

I am not a Christian and don't use the Bible as an absolute guidepost for criteria in making moral decisions.

Just curious, for other non-Christians, what standards of morality do you use, are they in a book, if so, please share.

Many base the rapture on 1 Thes 4:16-17. But they forget to carry the subject in verse 13.
They also forget that the book of 2 Thes was written because the Thessalonians misunderstood the first book. Consider this:
2 Thessalonians 2:3”Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;” Did you catch the subject of this verse: “that day shall not come”. Keep this in mind.
The “…falling away first…” is when the devil is cast out of Heaven and onto Earth.
The “man of sin”, “the son of perdition” is the devil. Also, “…and that man of sin be revealed…” The devil comes looking like Jesus, but has a voice of a dragon (Rev 13:11).
The devil must be revealed first before Jesus come. The false Jesus (devil) must be proven wrong.
Think about it.
Please don't give stupid answers, or attack this question. If you can't answer this question maturely than don't answer.

firstly, you are only bringing up rare subjects that happen in muslim countries. if UK is a Christian country, then why do all these stabbing, murdering, rape, child abuse cases happen? if Christianity is a peacefull religion, then why do priest take full advantage on little kids? and why would a guy close to god abuse a little child?

i hate it when ignorant, cold hearted stupid non-educated people come on sites and say this happened in a islam country or that happened in a muslim country. dont watch what we do, just look at your own religion, your the one who looks more lost.

this is a statement NOT a question.
