For starters, don't confuse people by using words that only believers understand... like 'good news'. There are opportunities presented to us every day to tell people about the love of Christ. God gives us a million of them. It's hard to NOT come on too strong if you are randomly telling people about Jesus. Pray that you would be attentive to the Spirit's leading in this matter. This is what Jesus meant when he said to be in the world. if you have acquaintances that do not believe in Christ at your workplace or in your home, these are the people that God has set around you so that you can have an impact in their lives. Don't think everyone is cut out to tramp through the jungles of Africa with a machete to 'spread the good news'. look at the people around you, your grocer, your hairstylist, your unbelieving friends. Live a life that is pleasing to God and they will want to know why you are different. That is what we must do in order to grab the attention of this tainted world. Remember the old adage, 'actions speak louder than words'.
And when they ask you why you are the way you are, be ready with an answer.
God bless

I heard a good sermon a few weeks ago about Christians being called to be the salt of the earth. One illustration that really stood out to me was our use of salt on foods today. Some foods are totally bland and not that enjoyable without a little salt, but then by over using salt on a food no one will want to eat it. It's the same with expressing our faith, or "spreading the Good News". The best way is to be a good example, love others and do not be critical, preachy or overbearing aka, TOO SALTY.

At my school there is a group of old men that come out once a semester and hand out free little books. Obviously they aren't the full scriptures, I think it might only be Psalms I'm not real sure because I don't take one. But they stand there calm and smiling and hold them out offering them to passers by. I'm not a religious person, I don't believe we need a book to tell us who or what God is or isn't but I respect these men because they are strong in their beliefs, they try to spread the Word, but they respect my choice to not take a book. The best way to not come on too strong is to let people know what you are about and let them come to you. If they don't respect them and move on.

Try reading these tracts, they will give you ideas.. Don't listen to the negative remarks here on Yahoo q&a they will have you never witnessing to anyone. The command in Mark 16:15 is to go and preach the gospel.. Read in the book of Acts what they did and do that.. They also have the right to know what is happening even if they don't want to hear it. .. The examples in the bible did not hold back or wait until someone asked, but they lived a strong Christian life and told everyone that Christ died for their sins..

That's a hard question. I rarely share my religion with people because I'm afraid of sounding too preachy. Some cousins of mine are really great at talking about God, though. Maybe you could do subtle things, like wear T-shirts that had Bible verses. You can also spread the "Good News" by living by example...be kind, smile, don't cuss. Little things like this go a long way....

Spreading good news is not a business. It's not like doing sales. It's how you carry yourself well. How you lead your daily life. You will be observed by others and they will be inspired by you. The way you lead your life and the way you carry yourself well. From there you will be questioned by them and they will be told the answer and they will follow you. Don't force yourself, be a natural. Ask and he will bring you to those who will listen. Spreading the good news is a very big thing. It's not the quantity that counts.

Before you try to get others to even listen you should research your points...Have you done that homework yet? When was the last time you reviewed your scripture so you know what to talk about in your escapade of converting others to your belief system? Regardless...WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT...yet I know you'll still try foisting the flawed theological system on us without relent because those that spread the "Good News" don't know the meaning of the words "respect for others beliefs". Why bother...those of us who don't and won't want to hear it will block it out regardless of "how strong" you come on. Oh, we won't put you down for what you believe either...why would we bother...we're not going to change your mind either (that's called RESPECT). PEACE!

I have found that people have to be open to receiving the "Good News" before you can spread it.
I have friends who don't really believe. I have chosen to simply live by example and when my friends ask a question I answer their questions and share my religion with them. In my experience, if I "preach" all the time then they are turned off and don't want to listen but if I am patient and address their questions when they are curious - then they are open to what I am saying and my words have more impact.

To me the best way to share your religious feelings is to show by example.....live what you believe in ,be an example of what a believer should say,do,and act like.Your actions speak louder than any words you can speak. Do not judge or be pride filled because you have found your way .Lead and spread your Good News by your actions....Do not be a hypocrite or be self righteous.

It is very simple, let the Holy Spirit Guide you and you will not speak strong to those that are seeking for the gospels, but then those that are aggressive and like to get on top of you, never speak to them without the word of God, I mean the bible. Because even Jesus Christ had to speak strong to the hypocrites.
