Much of the Bible was already written by the time he arrived here. The rest of the bible - the New Testament, follows the life of Jesus (like a biography) and then subsequent communications between the Church - like Paul's letters, etc. Do you know what Jesus taught when he was here? - Forgiveness, love, hope, faith - if you do, then it wouldn't make any difference if he had written them down or if Luke or whomever else did.
Jesus also said that faith was best when you believed without seeing - this can be applied to his teachings - you believe when you hear it from the Gospel, not only because Jesus came out and told it to you.
It could also be said he spoke through the writers of the Gospel - I think the point isn't a big one - it has been 2000 years and we still talk about Jesus and his time on Earth. If he had written it down himself, there would surely be debates over authenticity and interpretations like there are today.
The biggest point is, the message is out there.

Do you believe that would had made a lot of difference?
I don't think so, no matter if He had written it with gold ink. While Jesus was in the world He was a busy man up and down, People were always surrounding Him and there was no time for Him to write. This is why He carry with Him the twelve disciples.
Just hink, when there is a court order and someone is going to be judge, the Judge himself doesn't do the writing cause it would be difficult for him to speak and write at the same time. So He has the clerks and typist do this for him.
So pastor and layers and presidents have their own personnel to do their writing as well Jesus did also.
So believing g is by faith, it is not by writing

Because Jesus wasn't who you thought he was.... yes he was a Jewish carpenter..... yes he was a prophet...... no he was not the son of god..... he was a man who had an ideal he wanted others to believe.........while he was a good man he was a man...... he made mistakes and he himself was a sinner....... he never wrote anything down because he was illiterate....... I do not intend to write this in hurting feelings or tearing down views i simply do it to enlighten those who belive and those who do not believe..... I was once a devout christian who believed in all that was christian until i realized that what was tought was only the ideas and beliefs of those who wrote the bible..... rich kings, nobleman, and others in positions of power who wanted others to follow them( man they did a good job)...... because if you pay attention to all forms of the bible they all say different things..... if the bible was written for a single reason shouldnt the messages be the same...... also in that time the only people who could afford to write a book of that length would have to have been wealthy or paid by some body wealthy...... and one thing we know about wealth from the so called book of truth is that it creates greed and causes many to become evil....... so with these few facts and many more if you would like to ask....... i ask you to not forget your faith but to reconsider what is real and what is the ideals of some king or nobleman

It is your FAITH that JESUS need
He did everything for you and finshed it at calvary so that you can only believe in HIM that HE died and was hanged on the cross and took all our curses away and after 3 Days he ressurrected from the grave and know He is seated at the right side of GOD interceeding for us, not to die in sin
Since HE took all the burdens of our sins on the cross
This action He took is more Him writing a book for us personally but HE used people to write for HIM so that your FAITH could be stronger in HIM when someone else recorded what HE did

Jesus was too busy performing miracles, traveling, etc. to write things down. Imagine saying "Hey Tobias, hold my papers while I save Peter from drowning in the sea." That's why he found his Disciples; to become Apostles.

He was too busy making furniture. I also believe He was influenced by the teachings of Bhudda and the Essence.
I'm sure if he read what the others had written many years later he would have responded with something like
"Holy ****, did I do that?

Because back in the day everything was related through words and stories. THe bible was written many years after it all happened and is based on word of mouth-kind of makes a person question it's accuracy---ever played the game telephone?

He did through the Holy Spirit inspiring others to write. The stories may be old and seem irrelevant, but the principles behind the stories are powerful and eternal.

only arrogant people wrote things about themselves, during Biblical times. also, at what point would faith jump in if he did? he didn't have to prove who he was, we are to prove ourselves to him.. not him to us.
there are many things that Jesus never did.
Jesus never baptized anyone.
Jesus never wrote a single book of the Bible
Jesus never sinned.
I have a question for you..
How much faith does an angel have?
Answer: none... they know he exists, they are with him everyday.
and this is why those who have never seen him will be able to sing a song that even the angels can't sing, we can sing of faith, they can only sit by and listen.
