Many base the rapture on 1 Thes 4:16-17. But they forget to carry the subject in verse 13.
They also forget that the book of 2 Thes was written because the Thessalonians misunderstood the first book. Consider this:
2 Thessalonians 2:3”Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;” Did you catch the subject of this verse: “that day shall not come”. Keep this in mind.
The “…falling away first…” is when the devil is cast out of Heaven and onto Earth.
The “man of sin”, “the son of perdition” is the devil. Also, “…and that man of sin be revealed…” The devil comes looking like Jesus, but has a voice of a dragon (Rev 13:11).
The devil must be revealed first before Jesus come. The false Jesus (devil) must be proven wrong.
Think about it.

The Old Testament supports the New, and, the New supports the Old.
Ezekiel talks about the future to come.

I disagree. The "man of sin..., son of perdition" is the anti-christ. The falling away is talking about apostasy in the last days.

The anti-christ is to be revealled after the rapture. It looks like you are mixing up the rapture and the Second Coming.
The rapture is to happen first. Then the anti-christ is revealled and 7 years of tribulation. At the end of the 7 years Jesus is to return to earth with the saints.

When you read Revelation, you never see the Church mentioned after the 3rd chapter (or after the 7 letters to 7 churches). After the letters, Revelation talks about the judments on the earth etc, and never mentions the Church because it has been raptured.

In fact, the Church has to be removed before the anti-christ can be revealled.

I was just wondering, it has been along time since I have study this so please bare with me....but the New Testament is more for the now then the old.....right?.......so why would Thessalonians talk about when the devil was cast out of heaven and not about the anti christ? I believe that Rev. talks more about this but doesn't most of the New Testament lead up to Rev.?

There are plenty who are suffering from the prophesied 'powerful delusions,' many of them in the liberal pseudo-church we see in western nations now.
The whole direction of Middle East events now shows a build towards end-time fulfillment.
Look out for a charismatic world leader who will seem to be able to solve all the problems of the world.
Things are moving fast - surely the end will be in the life-time of most living now.

The rapture is a false, man-made doctrine. It is a misapplication of the Scriptures, invented by man.

That sounds pretty confusing to me. No wonder people get confused about the Bible.
