The EU Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.

The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl.

As a white man I was beyond offended by Barbra Walter remarks if I was ABC I would of fired her on the spot. It is sad that they got rid of Star Jones the next day, after she announced she was leaving the show, but Mrs. Walters makes a racist remark and she still has her job. (talk about a double standard)

I just joined a gym so I'm going to be working out and becoming physically fit. I am at my job trying to get a certification that will make me more marketable in my industry, I'm reading the Bible (looking for loopholes) and also reading Jared Diamond's Guns Germs & Steel.

Just curious, if you are atheist and don't do anything daily for spirituality, are you like me and try and do non-spiritual activities throughout the day trying to better yourself.

Email me if you have comments. No hate email, or I'll report you. I shouldn't have to say that, but some of you "Christians" like to hate on Mormons like were some kind of disease.

What would you do, if someone came in the night, set up home in your back garden, attacked members of your family with deadly force when they tried to evict them and demanded you bow down to their superiority because they see you and your family as inferior? What if they had the full backing of a police force, who regularly supplied them with the means to hinder your attempts to gain back your property?

Would you just give in?

Would you willingly give up your rights to them?

Would you submit to their feeling of superiority over you and your family?

Or would you fight for your land, your rights and your beliefs?

I know I would.

Regardless of what you perceive this hypothetical question may be referring to, I would request you to put aside your preconceived ideas and simply answer this question as it is written, in its own context.
Thank you.

You say that you don't believe in Purgatory because that word isn't in the bible. You say that you believe in the bible. But, where is the word "bible" in the bible?

I'm not trying to put you down, just a friendly debate between Christians. :-)

I went to my mums works the other day, its sheltered accomodation for the over 60's where they all have their own flats, but share a common room. There were a few of the old ladies there doing some knitting and listening to an old record. I looked at them and though to myself I wonder what it will be like when I'm in a place like this, what will be going on in the common room as people my age 27 don't seem to do anything apart from play computer games!
Would love to hear your views on this subject

In my city i see them, but they hang out with themselves or hang out with life-of-the party type of people. But in the web, in voice chat, i try and voice chat , then i speak in japanese and they become happy and we have great conversations . Sure, maybe in my city i'm at fault for not even talking( cause i'm shy) but they are not really shy, they always have friends and talk so much... but i never see they have interest in me...they never even look at me. But they sure have interest in life -of -party (outgoing types)people. So why does it work in Voice chat online but not in real life?
